Something was bugging me about my RID Vehicon. After looking at the figure and then at the on-screen character I realized what it was, the lower legs. The tires are visible on the on-screen Vehicon and sit up higher. However the toy's side panels don't rotate all the way around and sit lower to the ankle.
There's a way to fix this. First cut the small purple tab by his knee off. This will allow the side panel to spin all the way around. However it will still smack into the front grille unless you remove a small section of plastic at the bottom. Now shave a bit more and angle it so the panel lays flat against it. This doesn't effect transformation at all and you can't see it in alt mode. The trimmed bumper sections are hidden underneath the car.

Re: RID Vehicon show accurate leg panel mod
I may have to do this to mine.
I already shaved down the cup for the balljoint in his forearms to allow them to line up more straight instead of at that weird angle and it looks pretty good.
The legs could definitely use some love to look more like the show so I think I'll give your mod a shot.
edit: I did it. I figured out that to get the wheels into that position, I didn't actually have to remove the blue tab on the legs. I was able to simply turn the panel with the wheel around all the way as long as I removed some of the black plastic on the underside of the front black piece beneath/behind the grill and then rotate the wheel/fender while the leg is only partially transformed.
It worked and it looks great
