United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Forbidden Planets website is OK, my local Forbidden Planet shop in Leeds is terrible for transformers though. Last time I asked why other Forbidden Planet stores seem to get more in the guy running the place was pretty dismissive about transformers in general. I try to avoid shopping there now.

Well as it's the new year, I can't help but wonder what transformer goodies well see in places like home bargains, b&m and the other discount place whose name I can't recall

A few weeks ago I was in Forbidden Planet in London; didn't see the Wave 5's anywhere, but there were some Devastators in there for £160, which is only £10 more than Kapow. When I was there, there were only 3 but that was before Christmas. Forgot to post.

Didn't i read something somewhere that someone was speculating that CW Wave 2 may turn up in B&M? seeing as we never got it in physical retail stores to begin with
if that indeed did turn out to be the case....then with me at least....it'll be a case of....i'll believe it when i see it.

It'd be nice if Wave 2 did show up at the like of B&M, I still need Deadend and Breakdown.

Sainsburys are apparently selling combiner wars wave 4 for 12.75 each apparently. Here's a picture a guy on the transformers addicts Facebook group posted today.

My Local Sainsbury's has the Combiner Wars Deluxes too - but they have never had anything CW before not even the Legends class items.
They are listed as normal price £17.00 then reduced to 12 & some change.
They had some more RID-15 too which they had not had since October.
Frankly I was more impressed by the talking Rocket Racoon Plush toys for £9.99 they also had next to them.

Anybody going to TF Nation fancy splitting a twin room for one night?
Not sure which night I'd go yet, depends on room availability.

FP Birmingham had some deluxe combaticons in, along with battlecore prime and scattorshot (I didn't rifle through to see if there was an onslaught hiding behind, sorry!)- but as mentioned the other day, it's all import stock with significantly inflated prices...

So new argos catalogue out, and no surprises via robots in disguise stuff (oh except spend £20 and get a free dvd) but generations deluxe now cost £20 a pop (the model for this entry is swindle) while voyagers are £25 now, curious thing here is that apparently we're getting a voyager Vortex
Jokes aside, I find the price hike worrying.
Edit: I've been reading MtMtE again so I had Whirl on my mind.

I just hope that the other shops aren't going to follow suit. Though I wonder if this is argos doing or did hasbro raise the rrp

didn't even know the new catalogue was out yet(i'll pick one up on Monday) as for the Combaticons....since FP & now Argos are getting those in.....it's only a matter of time before other stores(TRU, Smyths, A1 Toys ect) get them in too! & at more acceptable prices.

For the deluxe listings it says 8 to choose from which tells me the combaticons and perhaps the final wave of '84 autobots but it could easily be prowl, ironhide etc.
The voyager listings say three to choose from, so Onslaught for sure (though a voyager sized alpha bravo mold would be awesome) and maybe battle core prime

i can't imagine a Voy Alpha Bravo! + it would be too big to connect to anything! also......no mention of such a thing on Seibertron.com(or on the Internet in general) you'd think they would've heard something about it already, so maybe it's a typo?(at least the classification part)
still no sign(at least in stores) of Battle Core Optimus, Leader Class Thundercracker & Skywarp yet (granted some people have spotted those in some places in England! but still no sign of those anywhere in Scotland).

I was making a joke as argos have used a picture of vortex to advertise the voyagers.

Nice. Odd that the only deluxe combaticon they seem to be showing is Vortex

Need!
I'll go check Charlton later, didn't have him in Thurrock at the weekend though...
Just picked up Masterpiece Tracks and Road Rage. Bought Road Rage on a whim, had no intention or interest in getting her until she was in my hand and now I love her!

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Sainsbury's now have a reverse sale - an un-sale if you like they have RID Warrior class with a shelf label that says £11.24 and and they now ring up on the till at £15.99
Oh boy are Hasbro making it so easy for me to not buy toys - when the store wants to charge me double the price I can have the double size partly metal KO RID bumblebee from china or £5.00 more than a Oversize Metal AOE lockdown costs, or indeed the same price I can buy a KO Masterpiece Bluestreak for.
On the good point I hear some ASDA have RID legions on sale at the moment. and it may be that The Entertainer decide to add some Transformers to their Penny sale soon perhaps.
And on another topic there is a lot of really cheap Marvel 9cm figures about lately too.
I got Doctor Octopus for £2.50 and (blue) Deadpool for £3.60 recently for example. and those are also in the Entertainer Penny sale making the others £6.00 or so if buying in 2s. So that is something at least I guess.
Roll on Home Bargains Toy clearance event they tend to have in March/April time I say.
