Is Cybertron Leader Prime a must buy?
Walmart has it in stock online, and I think I might bite the bullet and buy it via the Site-to-Store thingy. Is this that one Prime that everyone loves, despite its unorthodox alt mode, or am I thinking of another Prime?

Personally I prefer the Blue version, but its the same toy with slightly different colours.
It's a resounding yes on all accounts from me.

Cybertron Leader Prime is my favourite Prime. Five modes and combiner potential with Wing Saber means super play value and it displays beautifully too.

The mold itself? Yes. Highly recommended.
Repaint (red and black)? No.
Original (red and blue)? Yes.
Galaxy Force Convoy? Yes.
But only after you buy Movie Leader Class Optimus Prime. He's a must, a first, the last, the everything.

My Cybertron Prime(blue) still rocks as hard the 1st time i got him. 2bad he's in storage still...cause i could create some serious battle scenes against movie leader Prime for my top Prime. I'm still glad for picking the blue version up. Wingsaber is also a must. Speaking of which, flashbacks of chasing my Wingsaber was quite memorable. Almost did a 1 day Bay Area sweep, but satisfying in the end nevertheless.

I agree, except for me it's the other way around... Cybertron Optimus Prime, is the end all be all of Primes in Leader Class.. the movie is on a seperate Bar stool, because it's designs are based on Live action.. so it's number one in that category.. we may see a different version in the sequels.. who knows, maybe he repaints himself to G-1 colors to hide from Sector 7, or maybe he reformats himself after getting Miffed up in the sequel to that of a Fire-truck.. either way there will surely be other versions of Prime in the subsequent sequels for us to pick up.. I'm sure..
But as for Galaxy Force Hasbro Prime??? He's not bad, but the colors is what put me off.. luckily I managed so far to get most of what I own of Cybertron series as the Japanese stuff...I highly recommend the Galaxy force version from Takara.. though tough to find online.. and for a cheap price.. still I bought mine about 2 months ago for only $34.50 online..on eBay.. there are good deals every now and then.. but I mostly go for "Buy it nows"...
If you like the Red and Black go for it, it is supposed to represent Prime's ascension beyond Autobot faction and him being the leader of all Cybertron..plus he has all the keys I believe..

Do it.. you won't be sorry. One of my favorite figures... heck you don't even have to pay for shipping so it's a great deal! I might order one just so I have one in a Sealed Box.

I would prefer the original blue and red versions but you're not going to find that in retail. A couple of Family Dollar around my area have been selling the black/red one for $20 so I'd look around for that before shelling out $40 online.
Quality of the box will vary for those MISB hunters out there. Metroplex is going for $20 also.

I highly reccomend Cybertron Prime.
Go for the original red and blue one though; he looks tonnes better than the black and red repaint.

He's a very solid Prime. I like the Matrix feature. And the fact that he can combine with Leo Breaker.
Although mine is starting to get a little loose at the hip joints.
Also the face mask on/off feature is kinda nice.
His lights and sounds are kinda lame, I think I've actually used them only once.
But overall he is a really good looking and quite articulated Prime.

The only reason I wouldnt buy the Red Black version is cuase it aint different enough to the GF version I already have. Persoanlly I think it looks good.
As for the actual toy: EPIC WIN. Easily the best Prime in the armada trilogy. Argubly the best Prime in any line (apart from MP/20th) since RiD. Possibly even the best Prime ever to come out apart from MP/20th (though RiD Prime gives him a run for his money, and PM Prime for his age is damn awesome too).
