Yes, Romulan renegades lead by a descendant of the Ronulan Mark Lenard played in Balance of Terror, she wanted revenge on Kirk by using him to destroy the Federation and defame him.
And he systematically attacked, Geordi, Data, Worf and others till Riker stopped him on DS9

It turned out it was the Borg and they made Kirk the new Locutus
The Return, by William Shatner, and they were working w/ Romulans. And Kirk beat up Worf in that one

I'd rather do that than leave his mangled bloody body there to stare at me. Picard was there for a while I'm sure, he had to do something, it showed respect
Guess thats true.

Ether I'm tired or losing my mind cause I remember it being a descendant of the female Romulan commander from the episode "The Enterprise Incident"....the rest of what you said is on point.

I didn't realize he was 76
This is a bitt of old news and mis-information.JJ is looking for a roll for him in the script but as of yet its not confirmed. There are two posibilitys......one is the he will play James Kirks father.....the other is that at the films ending we will see a fast foward to a new future and we will see old Kirk and Old Spock sharing a drink.
Wow, that would be, uh wierd, maybe spock will get caught in the nexus where a part of kirk will exist like guinan did
Kirk may never have been stuck in the Nexus at all after this movie. If the leaked script is the one they use young Spock would have all of old Spock's memerorys. And since time would have already been changed there will be no ethical reasons for Spock not telling his friend not to board the Enterprise B....much less all history may be changed since they will have a closer bond at a earlyer time frame.
wtf, so Generations would never happen, and that was one of my favorite films![]()
Maybe a causality loop will prevent this travesty from happening, I hope at least
Even if Kirk did learn what would happen on the B, do you really think he would not go on the ship? He saved the entire crew, plus those 47 El Aurians. If anything, he would be more determined to go on that flight, rather than let someone else go to the deflector control room.
And yes, the first time I saw Kirk's death, a tear formed in my eye.
Ahes of Eden and Return are great reads. Avenger was not quite as good, but Spectre was brilliant.

The point is that theres no reason to beleave that any of those events will or must happen again. And by the way knowing what could happen before hand could change even Kirks actions on this matter. He or Spock could just leave a day earlyer to save the El Aurians before they get caught by the Nexus.....or have a 2nd ship there to help. There are to many posibiltys to factor in and like I said the Universe may un-fold in a new way all together.
Spectre was my fav of the Shatner-verse books.

Changing Trek history could have catastrophic effects on all of history, a war that should never happen could result because of Kirk staying off of the B
You just dont know what impact it could have, I think Spock and Kirk would know that

Thats all true but your all thinking to little. The fact that there will be a assissation atempt one that has old Spock going to the past and dieing there witch forces young Spock to seek out and meet Kirk much earlyer then before already changes history in its self. And if the killer almosts kills Kirk even more so.Its like the last episode of TNG "All good things" Remember Picard told every body what happened in that future because there were enought changes to their present that already ensured that that future would never happen in the first place.
So history will unfold in a whole new way.

I don't doubt it.
And I was thinking we were only talking about Kirk finding out about his fate on the B as the only change in the timeline, not all of the changes this movie could result in.
But if Spock goes to meet Kirk before they were meant to, perhaps he would miss a chance meeting with Pike in the corridors of the acadamy, Pike wouldn't be impressed, wouldn't have him assigned as his science officer, and he wouldn't end up on Talos living his life in happyness. This would result in Number 1 having command of the ship, perhaps even meaning Kirk never took command of the Enterprise. And just think what would happen to Trek if that never happened.
No movies. At least not the way they were meant to be. Khan would not have got his hands on the Genesis device. The assasination at Khitomer could have suceeded and TNG would be at war with Klingons and Romulans. The 'Celestial Temple' would never have been found, so the Dominion war would never have started. Voyager would not have got lost in the Badlands as they would be engaged in the war elsewhere. Seven of Nine would still be a drone, Neelix would be running around in his little trading ship, Kes would be a prisoner of the Kazon and Species 8472 would be cleansing the galaxy.
That small scale enough for ya?

Beast Wars FOREVER!
