Carnage in C Minor Crap

I am now watching Season 3's Carnage in C Minor, and I'd forgotten how bad the art was. Is it just me, or is the rendition of the transformers really sucky? Specifically, the proportions and the very short legs of some of the characters like Ultra Magnus. Anyone in the know as to what happened here and why the artist was changed?

Popular rumor has it that Sunbow blew the majority of their budget getting "Call of the Primitives" animated, forcing them to go to Akom for the majority of the season. Akom is notorious for its poor animation, which led to such "classics" as "Five Faces of Darkness" (which is actually pretty decent, but the animation really bogs it down a lot) and "Carnage".

That's a shame, cos I really didn't like Call Of The Primitives. What a waste.
