Unfortunately, these Kreo pieces won't hold well together. My Optimus kept falling apart.
So, I just modified and improvised some steps along the way.
Here's my Optimus version:
The most obvious change I did was with the legs.
And the back:
I also modified the shoulders to be more compact.
And a closer shot of the torso.

Most of the changes I did was to reinforce some parts. Kreo does not lock well together as Lego. The ball joints are a bit loose and you could feel that it won't support the robot's weight in some poses.
That said, I really like the stance and proportion of this Optimus.

Man, disassembling the truck and cleaning up the extra parts really took most of my time...
