I was at boarder books and tapes the other day and read an articale in toy magazine that said the japan version of classic megatron would be a smaller version of mp 05 megatron. I hoping someone can confirm this by checking japanies transformer websites. Since they seem to have the news before anyone else.

I've seen/heard nothing of this. If true, this is HUGE news! I hope the article wasn't written by a rook who thought Encore Megs was the Classics version, aka small mp 5. :-?

i highly doubt Takara would go such lengths to make a completely new figure for their release of the Classics line. as we all have read since last week, the only rumour so far about these releases are the anime-accurate paint job.

If this is true, and I too highly doubt this, then we will see a huge demand for this. Also, im glad I preordered mine! :grin:

I can't imagine this is true but if it was then there would be a huge demand. Honestly, though, I prefer the sculpt of the Classics robot mode to that of the MP one. It's really just the colours I'm in two minds about.

A smaller MP Megs would be just right for my wallet, which has been bleeding since I joined seibertron :grin:

If you ask me, all Takara could do is give Classics Megs his G1 deco and remove/repaint that silly orange cap...

if the Takara Classics Megs is a smaller MP Megs then that little guy will be broken all over! His parts are so small!

I highly doubt that, he would be as fragile as if he was made of paper.

I just hope he gets the G1 color deco.

Yeah, some munter's probably just seen the Encore and got his wires in a bundle. Nice idea, but without some drastic simplification it'd fall apart soon as you looked at it.
Far as I understand, Classics is just getting new paint apps, probably not even moulded in different colours, much as we may like.

I will be more than happy so long as they replace ALL the orange, purple & green NERF colors with blacks, greys, silvers & reds. Have the option to detach his "wings" in bot mode would also be hellacool, but I'm not expecting it.
