A spoonful of TFs helps the medicine go down
Hey everyone! Thought I'd share a heartwarming tale with all of you. It certainly brightened my day/week/month.
Last Tuesday I had to bring my mother to the hospital because she couldn't breathe. The whole ordeal terrified the hell out of me, but wasn't entirely unexpected. She was diagnosed with emphysema after smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for over 30 years. I knew it would happen one day, but wasn't as prepared for it as I thought.
I had to quit smoking myself, so she would have some support, and that's rough enough, but I've also been pretty poor lately between buying gas to go visit her everyday and trying to help out with the cost of her meds and oxygen, which she's now on constantly. So there's been no TF hunting for me lately. A couple of my good friends got together and have been helping me through it. I brought her home from the hospital yesterday and these friends were waiting for me with a very nice, and thoughtful gift. Waiting for me was a copy of the Transformers videogame and two new TFs, Longarm and Dropkick.
I never thought a couple action figures could bring a tear to my eye. Another cool thing is that I probably never would have bought these two, as I was trying to only get characters who were actually in the movie. Dropkick is pretty darn cool though, so is Longarm but he's a bit cartoony IMO. Still thought it was a great surprise and thought I'd share it with you guys. The game seems pretty cool too.

Friends like that are very rare. You are very fortunate. Anyway, how is your mother? Is she doing better?

Now those kind of friends are good friends. Friends who tolerate your obsession, and are willing to help you with it.
That happened at my birthday this year. All the girls got together and bought me one. They even checked with me which one I wanted. That was nice of them (they got me Cyb Deluxe Prime Munky Type BTW)
Best wishes to your mother.

Aw that's really nice.
You're lucky to have friends like that.
My friends suck.
Best wishes for you and my mother.

Thanks a lot everyone! I appreciate all the well wishes for my mom. She's doing much better now that she's out of the hospital and back home. Won't be long before she's even better than she was before all of this.
I can't deny I have awesome friends, they knew what would cheer me up and it worked like a charm.
Thanks again everyone!
