Leader or Voyager?

Postby City Commander » Sun Oct 21, 2007 1:12 pm

Weapon: Air Rifle
Hi guys, it's coming up to crimbo now, and I think I should decide once and for all which Movie Prime to get.

Which is better? Leader or Voyager Prime?

I do like the look of voyager prime, but his size seems a bit of a problem for me.

If someone could shoot up a comparison pic with, say, movie 08 BB etc for both versions, that would be dandy.

Leader Prime all the way. Voyager has a nicer athletic build w/ more accurate movie feet, but that's about it. With that said, leader primes feet are better, AND have much better articulation.

Stay tuned. I'm pretty bored, so I'm about to set out on a picture taking quest of these 3 figures.

You want the comparisons of alt and robot modes i presume?

Price point/and availabilty wise, I went with voyager. He is very tiny for his altmode though, and is roughly the same height in bot as the other Voyagers.

I would have skipped voyager if I'd found leader before hand though.

leader all the way man.... its not even close. leader is more movie accurate, just a better bot. voyager sucks badly. The backpack sucks, transformation sucks and it feels cheap. leader prime all the way.

Leader class all the way. You will transform that sucka, look at him from all angles and think "man thats awesome!" you'll do the same to voyager prime and just think "meh...he's alright, wish i got leader prime though"

Here they are. Don't worry about BB in the background in the one pic. You can't get a size comparison with him way back there. He looks like a micro machine. I just thought it was senseless to keep him out of the picture.

Better edit the title of this thread to ( pic heavy )

Anyway, the pics would've been better during the day and without using the flash. It's getting dark ... lighting isn't great in my apt.

The one pic ... I moved Voyager Prime's smokestacks to the side to show his annoying "backpack" tragedy.

I believe Voyager Prime to be more on scale with the deluxe figures, especially in truck mode.

If you have the other autobots you should probably get Leader so it fits in scale. I have Leader only for now, but I plan to get Voyager later on as well since I like them both. :( If you're only getting one then you should get leader, both modes are fantastic and the transformation is fun.

Leader Class. You won't regret it.

*looks at comparison photo* Wow...Voyager's a joke.

I think this question has been answered enough already. Either size has movie accurate attributes and both are outstanding figures. Voyager is more available in stores now, good luck finding Leader now. BTW, I own and like both.

leader class. So you can open it. Don't even think about keeping it MISB, batteries are included and if you leave for long they'll leak.

If you have to pick one ..... sheesh, that's hard.

Sell one of your children to science and get both!!!!

If you're a scale Nazi get the leader class.

I have both and I really like them both. Of the 2 I think I prefer the voyager class for transforming and posing. For just being displayed with the other movie bots then I like the leader class.

They're both really great figs. You can't go wrong.

Leader for obvious reasons. Its arguably the best engineered Prime toy, aside MP Prime, while staying playable and durable (though the sculpt also suffered because of this). But as long as money is not a big issue, I'll always go for the better toy version to collect. Voyager do look closer in terms of scale. But Leader is a much better made toy, with very sturdy construction, transformation, lots of nice spring ratchet joints, with some good automorph & gimmick to boot. Voyager is very good for a $19.99 toy. But it would be a stretch to call it better than Leader Prime, when budget/price is put aside.
