They're a line from a company called "Happy Well". Not knock-offs, more direct competition.
They seem to have been fortunate enough to strike up deals with other car companies for licensed vehicles.
As for the figures themselves, don't have any myself but while they look good they're not quite up to the Alternator standards. And apparently a larger scale.

They come in several scales, slightly larger and slightly smaller than Alternators. None at exactly 1/24.

Oh Primus, don't bring those up. They make Twin Twist look like a masterpiece.

They don't look that bad, IMHO.

Oddly enough, I had only seen the smaller, almost Alternator Scaled versions.
Finally saw the giant versions the other day, they are friggin cool. look a little "cheap" in robot mode, but nothing wrong with the car mode at all.

I picked up a Roadbot 2-pack out of nothing other than curiosity(and some frustration at the great TF movie figure drought). I won't be buying any more.
What bothered me most was the amount of shell pieces that are left over from the alt mode when you convert it to robot.
Those photos do a great job of making them look good, but in reality the figures are somewhat awkwardly proportioned, and they feel a lot cheaper than alternators.

I actually own one, the Land Cruiser, and it had me put my Binaltech Grimlock back in the box and in the closet.
That good.
EDIT: it has a slight head mod and a bit of new paint, nothing serious.

the landcruiser mod is really cool!!!!
anyways, the roadbots are very much available here in manila.
the scales are 1/32, 1/18, and 1/12.
while they do look good in the pictures, i'm not a fan of the actual toys. the problem being that they look too hollow, unlike the alternators which look more solid.
some of the head molds are also not that good.
i do agree that these have superb alt modes, though.
the 1/32 robots aren't "downsized" molds, even if the bots transform into the same car. but the problem with most of these 1/32 bots are the long arms and large heads.

I saw the Hot Wheels figures in TRU today, was not impressed by them one bit.
Anyone played with those MagnaFormers? They transform from car to robot using magnets.

The magnaformers kinda fold into a bar and the car is a bunch of shell pieces that go over it. With the magnets you can attach the shell parts anywhere in robot mode so they at least look cool if you do it right.

Is everyone doing the car to robot thing these days. If so it's the 80's all over again.

Where'd you spot the Magnaformers? TRU?
Gotta say the hotwheels transformers look like utter rubbish.

Yesss...but i'm sure i've seen them in either Target, Big W or K-Mart as well.
In fact, i'm sure it was Target when they had their toy sale on.
