Mini-Cons
I know people have a problem with the 'activation' ports.
"Why can't Transformers use their abilities without the help of Mini-Cons?", is what they say.
It's a fair enough issue.
What I like is the idea that the smaller robots have a defined use in this capacity. Activation aside, they can be power packs, weapons, shields...Much the same way that the Armada game works.
These guys take the whole "Master" process and give it a more practical bend.
Just my not so humble opinion.

My favorite grimlock is pretender grimmy - hes the one i had as a kid! loved that little dude and predenter jazz too.
What youll find is that the classics grimlock robot mode aesthetic was based on pretender grimlock (with elements of the shell and inner robot)

G1. Nothing else quite captured the sense of slow power the character has.

I found a little toy store that had what looked to be a G1 grimlock, but he was blue!
The rest of the Dinobots were there as well, but they were the G1 correct colors. All $50 each, so I passed on them.
Can anyone tell me what line that blue Grimmy came from?

Oh I know.

Douche joke...fresh and clean... it's comedy gold.

Animated Grimlock may be worthwhile. It will absolutely depend on how silly the head sculpt looks.

I like most of them, really, but if I had to pick one I'd have to say Classics (though that War Within one looks really nice)
Not at all keen on Animated 'Lock- that massive underbite thing is a major turn off from the usual, creepy face-plate (with the li'l pointy teeth things on the sides)

I'm afraid you passed on one of the rarest Grimlocks around. the Generation 2 blue Grimlock. I'd go running back to the store and buy it.

Hmmm ... thanks. I'll have to go back and take a picture of all of the TF's there and post it here.
I almost purchased it, but I didn't want to buy a KO by mistake. I keep telling myself to stay away from G1/G2 stuff, but I keep coming back to them here and there.
Another thing that held me back was that I was across the street buying the flowers for my Dad's funeral. All of this financial stuff going on now ... I may have to quit buying for a while until I get things sorted out.
It's been a rough 2 weeks.
P.S. I still am yet to take a picture of the rear of my car for ya ... sorry.

Though i do not own any of the Transformers Dinobots, i'd have to say classics Grimlock ( this is all from looks) looks better then the original G1 toy, even though i have heard of all the neg rep that toy has. /I wish the classics line had the rest of the dinotbots
. Slag and Sludge were my fav of the Dinobots, at least toy wise.
The original Dinnobot toys themselves look very delicate for some reason, so i'd be a lil afraid that i'd break the suckers >.>.

They have War Bears...F**king War Bears...what more can you ask for an Unstoppable Army?

The criticism towards Classics Grimlock is hugely exagerrated, IMO. I mean, people only complain about him having weak shoulder clamps! Does that mean the shoulders don't line up correctly? Does that mean it affects his articulation? Does that mean his whole design aesthetics are compromised? Geez, give poor Grimmy a break!

True! In fact, I barely even notice or care. It's not like the shoulders hang off loosely. There's like a two milimeter gap you have to be thinking about to notice:

And I of course have to go with Classics, cause besides Actionmaster, it's the only Grimlock I have. I also like how it homages the Pretender version.
G1/G2 can't be disreguarded either though, cause it's the original, and still looks good.

Count me in the geewun crowd!
I really like the Classics Grimmy, and would have loved it if the titanium one had made it out, but the original is still the best for me.
Looking forward to all the animated Dinos.
