25th Anniversary Cartoon
- Weapon: Electro-Sword
Anyone else think it would be awsome if they did a prequal to G1 for the 25th anniversary. Maybe a straight to DVD movie, or even a cinema movie (maybe after the ROTF). Wouldnt it be cool to see what happened between War Dawn and The Pilot. Or even go in a war within style direction. Just a thought

Never work. If you do something that fits perfectly with G1, people will bitch that it's not as good as Beast Wars. If you do something to fit in with the War Within style or something, I'll bite people's arms off and spit them out whilst screaming "G1 AM TEH BESTEST CARTOON, YOU GODDAMN PHILISTINES!!!"

You can never please everyone. But that would be awesome. Suppose it's too late to request one now though. Takes at least 2 years to properly animate a feature length film in CGI, then there's voice acting to be done, final edits of lip-synching etc, marketing...
And really, to please most people it would have to be made by Mainframe and feature a G1 plot.

Think of the incentive for kids to be shown why the Classics/Henkei line is so good, and why we love it so. Id accept an announcement as a 25th anni present lol

Well... For many the currenty Animated series is the closest we expect to get for an anniversary series.
With elements from different series and bits thrown in for fans thru-out the series, the producers are trying to give everybody something.
Sadly, as much as some of us have enjoyed these efforts, others have not, and some have refused to look beyond the surface of the series.

That brings up a good idea though! Wouldn't it be wonderful to get a G1 flashback episode in the style of "War Dawn" during TF: Animated Season 3 done entirely as a G1 tribute but still retconned enough to fit the current TF:A story?
As for making anyone happy with an actual G1 reboot cartoon, it really would never happen and couldn't as G1 was not even consistant within its own continuity.
In a place such as this, you are the perfect prey for a brest animal!

And you were doing so well until you started spewing nonsense.

That's pretty much what I want. Redo the original series in CGI using the original soundboards with some improvements. Then again, consider what they did to the DVD that came with 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime.
