Remember that "new shipment" does not = new waves. They could've gotten in a ton of wave 1 cases or some revision cases.
Again - an aisle or dept reset does not mean the pegs will overflow with new waves or new figures. Don't be disappointed if you walk in on Monday and don't find Concept Bumblebee, Arcee, Dreadwing, etc.

I saw an employee haul off a cart with the new scout releases and 1 leader megs, along with a whole slew of pirates toys. I wonder why he took the TF's away ...
maybe he was getting rid of the old toys to bring along the NEW WAVE!!
Target does not clear out old inventory to the back just to make room for "new waves". They will either sit there until they sell or until they are put on clearance. In the case AlienQuiksilver is talking about they we're probably just moving the items to a clearance endcap (some Pirates items have been on clearance for a few weeks now) and the TF's toys may be moving to a different aisle or different part of the same aisle until the reset is done.

I ran 3 nearby Targets this morning, no reset yet, same empty scene as yesterday, the day before yesterday, and on and on... *sigh*
Also checked Kohl's (nothing), Costco (nothing), TRU (nothing on shelf, only Swindle & Bonecrusher 1 each in their back room, I bought Swindle *cheers*)

checked Target, the Transformer section is gone, they were putting Star Wars there, but where they were taking the Star Wars toys from was being worked on by another employee with a planogram. Peeking over her shoulder, it was for some toyline called "Transformers"...

Went to one Target, no change, decided not to go to the other Target. Same with Wal-Mart.
No biggie, if something happens I'll just stop there after work.

^^^^ Read what I posted. Your post is exactly how misinformation spreads through these threads. NOTHING was supposed to happen today. Again - there is a aisle reset scheduled for THE WEEK OF August 5th. Not August 1st, not early to mid August. THE WEEK OF August 5th, meaning anytime between the 5th and the 11th (although some stores have been know to reset a few days early if time allows). I don't know how to make it any more clear. And I will reiterate again that an aisle reset does NOT mean that Targets pegs will be overflowing with new waves/figures.

I went to 2 more targets, 3 more walmarts, 2 TRU's and a Kohl's. NADA as far as the reset search.
Kohl's had a buttload of Barricades, wreckage and Brawl deluxes though. I was shocked to see them.
Also, saw a Leader Prime today ... a rarity for these past 2 weeks.
Tons of Ratchets and Blackouts as usual.
TRU's seem to have absolutely nothing movie line-wise, but the 3" titaniums were healthily stocked. There is also 3 Cybertron Metroplex's there, should I have picked him up for $40? 1 Jetfire and Optimus Voyagers were there as well.
I'm not looking to get into the classics line, but I could probably pick those up for somebody if they're tough to find.

Yea, my local Targets still have the some signs, basically saying "new stuff coming soon" or something like that all over the toy section. They did have some new toy PDA and Cell Phone things that changed into a crossbow and a dagger, or something lame like that. The fiscal quarter ended at the end of July, public companies generally try to get their inventory levels low before the end of the earnings period, so now that it has passed, we should see all kinds of stuff coming into the stores.

So, do you think I should check on Friday, this weekend, or should I just wait until Monday afternoon?

It depends on each store. One of the Targets I called said they're sitting on stock, waiting for it to be put out for the reset. Another one said the same thing, but when I called a different time, they said no. They did say however, that the reset will give way to newer figures.

haha. aight. dont trip chocolate chip.... oh and by the way, it is not the week of august 5th, because pacoima target down here in southern cali has begun reseting the toy aisle, i was watching them work in the legos/ little kids section first. dont be too sure just solely on the week of august 5th. targets dont have exact set dates on when to reset, they reset when time allows. thats why everyone says DURING early august(5th-11th as you say). and like i said above, target is resetting from beginning to mid august, you said august 5th to 11th. homie, i think august 5th to 11th is just about the beginning to mid august

If you actually read everything that was posted you would see that I said that depending on their schedules some stores are able to complete their reset early. THE WEEK OF AUGUST 5th is the timeframe Target corporate hands down to the stores. However you are still equating the reset with "OMG Targets pegs will be overflowing with new waves from early to mid August" Which is not even close to the truth. But whatever. I have seen it time and time again, once the 5th (or anywhere around that time frame) rolls around everyone is going to start their own threads saying "What happened? I went to Target today and they didn't have anything!", "I couldn't find Bumblebee!", "All they had was the old wave!", etc. And its due to the misinformation spread in these threads via insinuations, half truths and outright crap. But oh well I guess I should give up on trying to make the blind see.

How can I debate such an eloquent, solid argument?
Sorry that by offering concrete info and truth "makes me a big ol' meanie" and by doing so I have upset your fragile little universe, I imagine the real world must be a much scarier place for you.
I was just trying to lead folks down the right path and temper wild expectations.
Please note that I never resorted to calling names as there was no need for it. I would hate to engage you in a "battle of wits" when you wield such zingers as "ass" and "clown". I would hate to really get on your bad side, then you might go nuclear and call me an "assclown". I would be devastated and you would clearly be the victor.
I apologize to those allergic to knowledge that is helpful to the collecting community.

Cmon guys
I have an idea the best bet is to hit your store on Monday to see what progress (if any) was made in putting out the new items

I started this "flame war"? I would argue with you but apparently reading comprehension, amongst other things, i.e. wit, is not your strong suit. Pompous? Well thats subjective but hell yeah compared to you I am pompous but I would imagine so are a lot of kindergartners as well. "Childish"? "petty"? from the guy who started the name calling? I may not stoop to name calling (yet) but I will certainly rub the dumb, bad puppys name in his own crap.
tom brokaw wrote:whaddaya mean jelly bean? i never said target pegs would be overflowing with pegs.... if you could quote me on that it would be great. im saying people should check out their targets for new figures because they are reseting their toy aisle. thus when resets happens, there is a higher chance of new shipments.... nobody ever said anything about overflowing pegs in their posts except for you.... hmm, maybe you're the one hyping this up, especially when you're preaching (and so sure of) resets happeing on aug5-11. but you do agree there is a higher chance of new figs coming in during the resets, dont you? cause if you didnt, you wouldnt be saying nothin' about resets happeing during the week of aug5th. so quit trying act like nothing is gona happen during the resets. cause you, just like a lot of other people in this thread, believe new figures are coming in, not overflowing, but for sure target will be getting a shipment of TF toys sooner or later. blah blah blah.... im not the type for arguing, but chicken started it
.
Tom Brokaw - I know you, personally, never siad that pegs were going to be overflowing but as I said earlier its the misinformation spread through these boards via posts like yours that leads people to believe that if they walk in Target on the morning of the 5th they will find everything they are looking for which is not true at all. And no, resets are not in any way synonomous with "new figures coming in" or "new shipments", all it means is that the aisle will be reset, things reorganized, different quantities of pegs for different items (deluxe, FAB, scouts, etc) and some new items - in this case Ultimate Bumblebee is for sure part of the new planogram, specifically on the endcap (at most stores). Thats all it meant. Like I said earlier, I just don't want hopes to be up (I am not hyping anything, if anything I am deflating) only to have a million threads on "I didn't find ______" on the morning of the 5th (again not saying that you personally said this but I am sure it will happen) I honestly don't want to argue about this, its just nice if the correct information is out there especially to those new to the hobby. Thats it, thats all.
