Title says it all.
I'm a hardcore Batman: TAS, Superman:TAS, Batman Beyond, and JL(U) fan and was wondering if this is good enough to be considered canon even though it isn't the same voice actors (especially the lack of Kevin Conroy).

I liked it
Its starts in the early 50's and ends when Kennedy is president
Its cool to see the characters in there origional looks.Only thing is this movie to me was more of Green Lantern movies bec ause his origion is explored more then the other heros with Jon Jonzz a close second

I really enjoyed it, especially when Hal Jordan is introduced at the film's start and the first meeting of Batman and the Martian Manhunter. "With you all I need is a penny for a book of matches." Classic Batman.

This movie, rocked. It takes Superman: Doomsday, the Marvel animated movies, and slaps them around a little with a bat.
I really hope we see some more movies like this from DC. Maybe a animated version of Hush.

I enjoyed it. It would've been nice if they were alloted more time & budget to get more of the book's story into the movie, but what's there is sufficient to tell the story.
Just be aware that this movie, in no way, shape or form, connects with the DCAU(Batman & Superman's TAS, JL/U, Batman Beyond). This story is set in the Silver Age, as a bridging the gap between the Golden Age(WW2 era JSA & other characters) & the Silver Age(the 1960's-early 70's).

Not sure if you made up your mind yet but I thought I'd throw one more opinion in here. New Frontier is amazing! Other than a couple of Darwyn Cooke's designs not really translating very well (Batman), it looks absolutely gorgeous. It definitely would have benefited from being 15 minutes longer but I think the heart of the original story is intact. You're going to have to go into it realizing that it has absolutely nothing to do with any other animated DC program. I also recommend reading the original graphic novel. Either before or after watching the movie. It is a true masterpiece.

Went ahead and watched it. It was a good story and I had little problem with the designs, but it wasn't very original of a plot. A lot of it seemed to be a re-hash of "Secret Origins" and "The Terror Beyond".

Re: Is Justice League: The New Frontier worth watching/purchase?
You do know that those Justice League episodes we rehashes of comic book movies edited to make sense for the cartoon itself, right?
New Frontier basically retold the story of the comic series New Frontier, which ended up retelling the old Golden Age comic stories.
Justice League modified those comic stories and put them in modern times with modern heroes, bypassing the entire Golden Age.
Also the design style was a mix between the stuff of Jack Kirby, and Bruce Timm.

I have to say I'm enjoying this movie so far. Just seeing everything done in the old 50's styles is a trip, although Martian Manhunter's look is a little... cheery for my tastes (humanoid form, not alien)

That is a very silver-age design. It's better in the book, though. After the "Real men wear pants" line, he switches to a suit.
