I love both Sony and Nintendo, but I love (not literally, of course...) Nintendo just that little bit more.

Nintendo consoles are more innovative and tough but Sony's are much more powerful. Cost is also a factor. The Wii might have virtual console but I'm pretty sure some people are already working very hard on emulators. Most games of my favorite series are get developed for both but Sony has got mainstream Final Fantasy games, Armored Core and a better controler to play Street Fighter and King of Fighters. Though the DS has better Megaman and Castlevania games...

Fun story regarding the PS1's creation. The usual rumor is that Nintendo stabbed Sony in the back, and ditched them for Phillips.
That's not the whole story.
Just before the big announcement of the disc system, Nintendo noticed something in the contract they hadn't before: With the deal, Sony was entitled to all the rights of Nintendo's games from that point on, whether Sony had a hand in it or not.

Sony, as GTA 3 came out on a Sony and it will be one of the happiest memories of my teenage years.
