Not All Wal Marts Will Be Getting Starscream?

There’s 2 Wal Marts near me, one in Delaware, and 1 in Lewis Center. I went to the one in Lewis Center to pick up a few things, and decided to see if they might have gotten any MP Starscreams in. When I could not find any I asked someone in the toy department if they could check and see if they had any in stock. She checked and told me that item had been flagged, and they would not be getting any in until they had sold their current stock of MP Prime. They’ve had the same 15 Primes since he came out in the Classics box, and he’s been $69.97 the entire time. Has anyone else encountered this, or were they just giving me the runaround?

I think they don't know what they're talking about. My friend preordered that model, he's getting next week.

Sounds like BS to me. The Walmart were I found my MP SS has nearly an isle full of those MP Primes.

You didn't talk to the right person. I know one of the guys that stocks the toys (skinny black guy - I hope I didn't offend anyone)... Don't worry... It will be there... however... only 18 of them. I printed out a picture of it for him so he knows what to look for. Hopefully it comes during his shift.

But it IS true.. not all walmarts are going to get it. The Delaware Walmart near you is one of them that is NOT going to get them.

I hardly ever go to the Delaware one, and I live 3 blocks away. I just don't like that store, and they never have any good.

I went to my Wallyword today and I asked them if they had the MP Starscreams, and they had said that they hadn't seen any yet. But they had said they are always getting new shipments of stuff arriving every day, so it is only a matter of time. The toy manager said I could call her every day to see if any shipments of that item had arrived. She was very nice. :D

So true.

I called my local Super WalMart. A guy in the toy dept. says that they do not have them but a store across town has 5 in stock. So I go to that store across town and see no sign of them. Armed with the UPC, I ask a person with a handheld scanner to check into it. After 3 or 4 minutes of watching them try to punch in numbers, she says that the UPC is invalid. I kindly asked her why, then, does it say Tra Starscream on the top of her screen when she puts in the UPC. She says "oh, well we don't have it. Another store (on the same road, just much fartehr away) has it" and she said the person I talked to on the phone must have told me the right street but the wrong store.

So I go to the other store. Guess what? You got it - no Starscream. I went through the same ordeal with another employee at this store (UPC not valid, I point to where it says Starscream on his screen). All this time he looks as if he has never used this device before. He finally handled the situation by letting another person interupt looking for a certain color of spray paint and went off to help her, leaving me standing there wondering why I had allowed myself to be duped into wasting time.

So I called Wal-Mart again, asking them to verify stock. After repeating the UPC to the lady on the phone 5 times she asked me if I was looking for umbrellas (yes, after 5 repeats she still got it wrong). She finally put someone else on the phone and he told me that they could not tell stock on Starscream because they were a clearance items and clearance items don't show up in their inventory access. I tried to explain these were new, but I don't think he understood me. At least he got the UPC right.

The Primes are still about 70 bucks (76 after tax). I bought one solely for the Megatron gun (which I will give to my MP SS). I'll just take the gun out, and return it telling them that there was no gun.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to find out if my Walmart is going to get MP Starscream? I really really really (really) want one.

It's probably not my place to play the ethics card, and I don't want to start a war, but that's straight shady. That's no better than tearing it out of the package while you are in the store.

I hear ya. About 2 months ago I called every Wal Mart around looking for soemthign the Mrs. wanted. I finally talked to someone wh had it, and said they could hold it for me. So, after driving an hour and a half, and stopping by the ATM, I get there only to find out that the real price was almost $100 more than what I was told on the phone. Needless to say, I was pissed.

And then tonight, I dedided to drive up to Marion, about 45 minutes away, just to see if they migt have it. After talking to 3 people in the toy department, I gave up...bunch of bloody brain dead dipshits.

I have seven Wal-Marts within what I consider driving distance, and out of those only has ever gotten any of the exclusives. This has already proven to be the case with MP SS as well, unless the other stores really surprise which I doubt.

pst... all of you insulting Walmart employees.. I would personally send you out the door figureless if I got that kind of attitude.

As for the topic, it's possible certain stores won't be getting him, may just depend on the toy manager. Ours said he will no longer order Transformers for our store. Ours just don't move, Spiderman toys and GI Joe toys have started to fill in our transformers section. And Hot wheels continue to sell well. In our market however, TF's don't. Lots of people say the computer does the ordering, but there's still human intervention, and he can make sure we don't get what he doesn't need. So possible. We haven't ever had any.

What's "shady" is Hasbro allow DVD Prime to clearence for $25, then months later put out the overstock and expects us to pay full retail! :-x

I went to and called 8 Wally Worlds today everyone of them told me the same thing - none in stock, none on order, and none enroute. I kept thinking I'd get lucky calling but after the 8th "NONE" I gave up. What I dont understand with the whole thing is if its A Wally World exclusive why are none of them carrying it. Just doesnt make sense to me :-? :???:
