That'd be cool, but I doubt Takara would do a reissue due to the cost involved.

They reissued Predaking, that must have been costly.

I would love to see Omega reissued.
I would buy that in a heartbeat.

I know who you're talking about, however i don't quite see how shortening Omega Supreme to OMGS works.... If you're really too lazy to type all 12 letters then shorten it to OS, Omega, Supreme, etcetc, something that sounds cute maybe; Meg, Megsy, Omy, Omega-chan...
Just thought I'd add my two cents, well, I'm British so it'd be my 1 pence.

As for the figure, I'd love to see it. I'd probably buy it.

Yes it be awesome if they could release it. But since Omega's Mold was a borrowed mold from another company, and AFAIK, neither Takara nor Hasbro own it anymore, they can't really produce a re-issue of him.

The other aspect, is I doubt it would pass the Child Safety tests in the US either. So Hasbro won't get near that mold.

So unless Takara, can find the mold, get the rights to reproduce and release it themselves. Its doubtful will see an Omega Supreme re-issue of any kind.

but again, it would be incredibly cool if they did do it.

How DARE you, sir! The very notion that we, the finest nation on God's Earth would surrender Her Majesty's money for... for... European Monopoly filth! Chaps, take up your bowler hats and furled umbrellas! We must smite this chap mightily!

I thought g1 omega supreme was owned by the same company as sky lynx and they went out of business so that it would easier to get the rights to that mold. As far as the toy saftey laws go I really don't think there was anything that posed a danger in the design.

Reissue is essentially impossible, but perhaps when they make the next set of Classics they could "reimagine" it.

Them going out of business might make it easy to use the mold, but that ignores the fact that it makes it almost impossible to get the mold, as it was probably tossed in a skip somewhere during the closure.

As for safety, I think Overcracker is referring to drop tests, i.e. the design might not be strong enough to not shatter into razor-sharp fragments when dropped, or something to that effect.

Exactly. Molds like those, including Fortress Maximus, when dropped tend break in shards of razor sharp plastic, that could "mame" a child.

This is extreme granted, but Hasbro has said it won't release Fortress Maximus, and chose not release R.I.D. Fortress Maximus for that very same reason.

So again, Takara would have to Acquire the mold if indeed it still exists, and get the rights to reproduce it.

I wasn't aware Sky Lynx was from the Same company as Omega, but in any case its not going to be easy.
