D to the Max, did the postman pay you a visit today?
Yes he did! Right as I was leaving for work!

And my Cogman arrived at the same time (and I didn't know this until I got him, but I got the takara packaged one, it even came with paper and laminated directions!). Unfortunately though, Cogman became my 2nd figure this month to break, and this time when I moved the very first piece for Transformation:

This sucks, and really kinda hurts how excited I was for him. I want to love him, but the broken crotch is making that hard at the moment.
On a plus though, the clones are pretty good. Wingspan is the best of the 4 clones in my opinion, and Cloudraker isn't bad, though I like Fastlane more than him. Either way, great set that I give thanks to Cobotron for passing on to me!!

Sunova...

It really was! It is super disappointing with how good he actually is!
Speaking of which, how about some pictures shall we?
The brothers in all their glory:

The TLK crew!

Sqweeks: Hey Cogman
Cogman: yes sir Sqweeks
S: do you ever get the feeling we are a knockoff of a very famous robot duo that is not only classic and modern gold but who also sells more merchandise between them than any Transformers line ever?

C: I don't think so. I mean, it's not like you speak in cute beeps and can surprisingly kick ass while being blue and tiny, and it's not like I am designed for human/Cybertron relations and can speak in over 3000 languages....

Lameness! I won't have my Cogman for a while (pre-ordered the zero difference Takara one cause I figured it would be easiest). So I'm not familiar with the piece... is it fixable?

It looks like it is glued back on at the crotch. At least it doesn't look glued upside down a-la Goonies...

Yeah, his alt mode kinda feels pretty crappy, The arms and puny front legs let him down. Wingspan is great though!
shajaki wrote:Lameness! I won't have my Cogman for a while (pre-ordered the zero difference Takara one cause I figured it would be easiest). So I'm not familiar with the piece... is it fixable?
I should be able to glue it, when I remember to actually buy super glue. But I'm afraid it'll break again. That piece doesn't feel overly stable, and it is necessary for ground clearance to transform. The sword can be stowed in the cockpit, but ground clearance...
Agamemnon wrote:It looks like it is glued back on at the crotch. At least it doesn't look glued upside down a-la Goonies...
I haven't glued it yet. In robot mode, it will actually stay put thanks to the friction. Alt mode though, it can't. I'm currently storing it in the front where the chest flap folds up and creates a small pocket.
Also, have you been here before Ag? I'm not remembering if you'd visited before!

Also, picked these up yesterday:

I bought both with intents to give away, but then I couldn't wait for BBTS, and I opened one for me. The other will head on over to Bronzewolf. Titan Masters were the sweet cheap sugar candy of TR, they really nailed them

Ramhorn looks great -- if he pops up at a B&M, I'll pick him up.
I really enjoyed the Titan Masters as well, D -- fun little figures, even if they didn't have a transtector to call their own. It's the second reason I can't wait to get the Prime Masters.
The first reason simply being cuz they're Pretendaz.

So I went on a date yesterday, and while heading to the date, I stopped to get her a Christmas gift. In the process, I visited the TF section and found they had finally stocked wave 2 of TLK. So even though I got Sqweeks month ago from Willy-J, I wanted to support Wave 2 and got Steelbane. I almost got the lone Drift left (surprising considering there were at least 4 of the others from wave 2 each and there was still a mountain of wave 1) but I have the legion, so I figured I was good with his red look.
The figure is alright. Bot mode is pretty sweet actually, and not that floppy. Alt mode should not exist.

The date went well too. She loved her gift, we ate Italian, watched Star Wars, and got some Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate from Sheetz. Mmmmm

Merry Christmas Y'all!

Well, after a hard week of stuff happening, here we are again.
First up: Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Hope you all had a great holiday with family!! And Happy Holidays to those that may celebrate another holiday!!
The week was rough. Delivering was stressful with office parties and I was putting in some 12 hour days. I also took a fall down my steps and bruised my back, so I was in some pain during that time too.
But, the date last week was awesome! We're going out again Friday
and Star Wars was a good movie. I did enjoy it, but there are definitely some pieces of it I ended up looking back on and kind of feeling irked by them.
Now, to catch up on some stuff, first up, I spent some time with Packrat, so I could have had some time with all 5 members of CMW. He will stay in Rat mode. It took me an episode and a half of NCIS to get his rump realigned. So have some nightmare fuel and some hoodlum Packrat!

Then we got to Christmas Eve, where we always spend time with my Mom's side of the family. I got this guy that night, my first every TF ornament:

Then after getting home, I enjoyed some hot cocoa while Watching Jeff Dunham's Christmas special

Next morning, we let the dogs open their gifts first. My blind beagle Duke is the cutest thing:

And then we come to this Christmas haul. No TF toys, but a dancing Sqweeks and a Hot Rod ornament ended up in there! And see what other kinds of awesome stuff you can find

BB-8 and the Skillet: Unleashed CD's were my favorite things. I put BB-8 together over the next 3 hours while watching the Mythbusters marathon:

Yes, he has a deployable torch and his head is fully posable!!
Also, I wanted a close up of these 2:

...yes, that is a pair of lounge pants (I am currently wearing) with Unicorn T-Rex's on them...
So that was my holiday, and it was great! How was your guy's holiday?

I would venture to say that my Christmas was pretty great. I got all three of the things I asked for (Fort Max, Trypticon, and an Overwatch Mei Nendoroid). While I will have to send Mei back to Amazon for a replacement (her display stand was broken), Max and Trypticon are in pristine condition, and are pretty awesome (Trypticon is the better Titan, but Cerebros is better than Full-Tilt).D-Maximus_Prime wrote:How was your guy's holiday?
