IDW TF Prime Comic
- Weapon: Sonic Rifle
I couldn't find an earlier post with this information and if there is one just let me know. I bought and read all four comic books that IDW published for Transformers Prime. I was wondering what anybody else thought of them? It was a great background information about how Arcee and Cliffjumper met when searching for Earth. Also explains how the decepticons found Earth also. There are a total of four issues. Here is a twitpic shot I took of all four issues. http://twitpic.com/60gcdh

I bought the graphic novel/trade version of it that came out before each issue's individual releases. I read it before episode 1 aired, and I'm glad it focused on Cliffjumper since... well, you know.
I thought it was cool how, on Cybertron, there are multi-colored Vehicons instead of just the purple ones seen on Earth in the show. There are blue ones, green ones, and red ones in addition to the purple ones.
And I thought it was cool seeing how Cliffjumper, Arcee, and Starscream all got to Earth from Cybertron.
Though, one thing still bugs me to this day. The graphic novel showed Breakdown to have been on Earth since before episode 1 (he and Starscream gave Arcee and Cliffjumper a major beatdown), yet he didn't show up again until episode 10. Where had he been during those earlier nine episodes and just what had he been doing during then?

Yeah, I was thinking that same issue about Breakdown. First he comes to Earth when Starscream does according to the comic books and then magically disappears until episode 10. Was he on vacation or something? Thought it was cool how the autobots had a ground bridge the whole time while the decepticons had a space bridge. Though, they lost the space bridge thanks to Arcee and Cliffjumper.
I thought having more background information for Cliffjumper helped me understand why the two of the are so close in the tv show. It was good how you said the vehicons had multiple colors in the comic book compared to the tv show. Half the time when Starscream is talking to Soundwave in the tv show it takes me about 30seconds to figure out if he's talking to Soundwave or a vehicon. This is because 80% of the decepticon army in the tv show is purple! Very confusing.

Yeah, it's too bad they left all the others on Cybertron and only brought the purple ones to Earth.Powaglide wrote:It was good how you said the vehicons had multiple colors in the comic book compared to the tv show.
But Soundwave's blue, and has a very different face from the Vehicons.Powaglide wrote:Half the time when Starscream is talking to Soundwave in the tv show it takes me about 30seconds to figure out if he's talking to Soundwave or a vehicon.
