James Spader was absolutely the best choice for Ultron. Chills, man. Chills.

For a villains voice yeah sure, but for a homicidal robot? Needs more metallic.

Not a big fan of his face design. Still really, really psyched for this.
I wonder if they're going to tie it in to Agents of SHIELD.

It's probably all that's saving the show from cancellation if the ratings really are that bad.
Doesn't help that this was suppose to premiere during next weeks Agents, that would have provided a boost. But not now!

So that's where their budget went. I was wondering why the mooks wore bicycle helmets and diving goggles this week.
And also they were apparently researching a sample of this girl in this week's episode:

I don't have words for the excitement. And I totally agree about James Spader - at the casting announcement I was "I love him, cool, but....odd" but now....if there's more of that treatment we heard at different parts of the trailer, he will be my favourite cinematic villain.

So apparently the lineup of the Avengers will change by the end of Age of Ultron.
Also, Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on to play Dr. Strange!
Furthermore, Marvel released a list of their future releases:
Source: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=124443ComingSoon wrote:"The Old Order Changeth!" Stan Lee famously set as the title for "The Avengers" #16 (a nod to Alfred Tennyson's "Morte d'Arthur"). That issue, which hit the stands in 1965, offered the first roster shift for Marvel's mighty superhero team. Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirms to BuzzFeed that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is likely to follow suite in the wake of next summer's Avengers: Age of Ultron.
"It's like as it was in publishing," Feige tells the outlet, "when each of the characters would go on their own adventures and then occasionally team up for a big, 12-issue mega-event. Then they would go back into their own comics, and be changed from whatever that event was. I envision the same thing occurring after this movie, because the [Avengers] roster is altered by the finale of this film.”
In the original comics, the founding members of The Avengers included Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp and Hulk. Hulk quit during the second issue and Captain America joined in issue four, but the significant shakeup that happened in issue 16 saw Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man (Giant-Man by then) and Wasp leave the team, making room for Hawkeye, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch to continue alongside Captain America.
"It has to be this way" Iron Man says in that very issue. "The ranks of the Avengers will always need replenishing! The old must ever give way to the new!"
Also, Benedict Cumberbatch has signed on to play Dr. Strange!
Source: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=124442ComingSoon wrote:Benedict Cumberbatch, the star of "Sherlock," The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and the upcoming The Imitation Game, has, according to Deadline, taken the leading role in Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange!
Doctor Strange is based on the character created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, who made his first appearance in 1963's "Strange Tales" #110. It follows the adventures of Stephen Strange (nodded at in this year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier), a brilliant neurosurgeon who, following a car accident, loses precision in his hands. His quest to regain his former skills sets Strange on a path to become the "Master of the Mystic Arts."
Although no official release date has been set for the film, the time table for production would lead one to believe that Doctor Strange will land on the July 8, 2016 release date that Marvel has already bookmarked for a theatrical release.
Furthermore, Marvel released a list of their future releases:
Source: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=124496ComingSoon wrote:ComingSoon.net/SuperHeroHype's Silas Lesnick attended the Disney and Marvel Studios press event today where Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige made a number of huge announcements including that the title for Captain America 3, starring Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr., will now be called...
Captain America: Civil War!
At a Q 'n' A following the announcement, Feige confirmed that "Civil War" will be a "global superhuman registration with a specific inciting incident" and that, "Secret identities aren't as important in the MCU version of the story."
Doctor Strange, starring Benedict Cumberbatch (who actually wasn't mentioned, so perhaps the deal isn't done) and directed by Scott Derickson, is officially scheduled for November 4, 2016.
James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has been moved forward a few months to May 5, 2017!
July 28, 2017 will now be the release date for... Thor: Ragnarok! (A few of our readers called this one.) Of course, both Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston will be returning as Thor and Loki. Feige says that it will immediately follow the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron with the goal to take Thor to "another level of his own franchise."
The big news is that Marvel's Black Panther is indeed getting his own solo movie with Black Panther scheduled for November 3, 2017 and the Black Panther will be played by.... Chadwick Boseman!
So that's two sequels and one new character movie in 2017, Marvel Studios' first year with three movie releases. Feige said that there is an easter egg in the Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer for the Black Panther movie, which is probably that Andy Serkis plays Panther villain Ulysses Klaw.
Two more big announcements for new characters being brought to the Marvel Cinematic Universe are a Carol Danvers Captain Marvel movie for July 6, 2018 and an Inhumans movie for November 2, 2018. Both of these movies have been rumored for a long time, but now it's confirmed that Marvel will have two new character movies in 2018 with the May 4, 2018 being...
Avengers: Infinity War - Part I!!!!
and with Avengers: Infinity War - Part II scheduled for May 3, 2019!
Feige said that the Hulk will appear in all of the Avengers movies and that a standalone Hulk movie may still happen. "We'll see," he said.
When asked about a Black Widow movie, Feige said the reason it hasn't happened is "because she's so good working with the Avengers and says that the Hulk is, at the moment, the same way."
As far as rumors that Spider-Man might come over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Feige was vague saying that it was either "not true at all" or "something not ready to be announced yet."
As far as the long-rumored Runaways movie, Feige said that he's a big fan of the script they have, but it just isn't ready yet. The Runaways "come up quite a bit in both TV and film discussions."

Yeah, secret identities are indeed becoming a thing of the past in Superhero movies. Bruce Banner doesn't keep himself secret so much as a nameless drifter. Tony Stark barely bothered and became a celebrity. Thor spent like a week tops on Earth. Cap doesn't have anyone really to protect, and most of his friends are in the government. Likewise with Hawkeye and Widow, secret agents with apparently not too much of a personal life. S.H.I.E.L.D. itself even appears to be a well known, and has a very public office building, ok, did have an office building until it was crashed into by a helicarrier. And Starlord hasn't been to our galaxy since he was ten.
Excited for the Dr. Strange movie. I know the villain will probably be someone like Baron Mordo, or Dormammu, or Nightmare(that could work well
), but would it be too much to hope for Shuma Gorath? We've seen gun toting talking raccoons, humanoid trees, ice dogs/monsters, stone creatures, a Cosmonaut dog, and an arrow that can be controlled by whistling. I think the audience can handle a one eyed octopus.
And huzzah for Black Panther! This calls for a song:

even if you count those heroes is still not the same that it used to be.
I only saw the first of the 2 "new" Spiderman films, but in that film both Gwen Stacy and her father learn that Spidy is.
in the last Superman film Pete Ross and Lana Lang learn what he can do as kids and Lois knew who he was even before he took on a hero name
in the last Batman films,Lucius Fox Rachel Dawes [old F and a DA], Catwoman ,Jim Gordan all learn his ID at some point, heck even a rookie cop figures it out
I lost count of how many people know "green" Arrows id in that show, I think its near or over 10.
and so far I've only seen 1 episode of Flash, and already 5 people knew his id.

Trying to find the source, but apparently Benedict Cumberbatch being signed on was false info or something. Just something I heard, still digging for the link.
As for Ultron, really excited to see that now. I agree with Burn that the robot should sound more metallic and robotic, but then I remembered that Tony built Jarvis who doesn't sound too robotic himself. But still, more robotic effects over the delivery would be nice but I idoubt it'll happen.

As long as it's not Jared leto, I don't care too much about who plays Strange, I just hope the movie does well
Also looking forward to what they do with their Captain Marvel movie, I can see many direct comparisons with Wonder Woman since they are both female leads, though I don't think many people know who carol denvers is...

I was kinda hoping Captain Marvel would be Phyla Vell, as that would tie in nicely with Guardians of the Galaxy.

Still haven't read any of the newer Captain Marvel books with Carol. She's badass though in New Avengers, so I'm still opened minded.

Yeah...and they still all keep their identities secret from the public at large. Also, you shouldn't be counting love interests like Lois and Gwen, since they're almost always privy to the secret identity in the comics.

I count them because it normaly takes time for a love interest to learn they are heroes.
in these films they seem to learn pretty quick

My point still stands though, you can't say they don't keep secret identities when they clearly do. Unless you'd like to point out the scenes in the Nolan movies or the Spider-Man movies where they disclose their identities to the public...
