No, Disney Plus exclusive. Which since I'm not on Disney Plus at present (have had to cut most of my discrestionary spending, pay isn't keeping up with inflation), I can't watch anytime soon.

Really been enjoying this season of The Bad Batch. I had pretty mixed feelings about last season, but so far this season's been a big improvement.
Star Wars show ranking so far:
1. Some arcs of The Clone Wars
2. Andor
3. The Mandalorian seasons 1-2
2. The Bad Batch
3. Ahsoka
4. Rebels
5. The Mandalorian season 3
6. Obi Wan Kenobi
7. Other arcs of The Clone Wars
8. The Book of Boba Fett
No plans of watching Resistance

I need to watch Ahsoka and Obi Wan still. I think the time period between Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One is becoming the most interesting to me. I want to see as much as I can about those characters and events.
Also, recently I had a spirited discussion with a fellow fan about who is stronger, Mace Windu in RoTS or Darth Vader at the height of his power (whenever that is considered to be, to me it's between RoTS and Rogue One). Thoughts?

I'm reading through the Darth Vader comics right now and I would certainly argue Vader. I think that Windu may have been a more skilled fighter with his saber, but Vader's power in the force gives him an advantage.

Fair point. Unfortunately we didn't really see Windu's command of the Force on screen, unless I missed it in some supplemental material.#1 Signal Lancer fan wrote:I'm reading through the Darth Vader comics right now and I would certainly argue Vader. My take from those comics is that Vader relies HEAVILY on the Force. To me it feels like he lost a LOT of his power after his fight with Obi-Wan and he calls on the Force a lot to help prop up his cybernetic parts.
Sith Anakin would have taken Windu down easily. Vader however, the fight would have been more evenly mwatched.
Personally, original trilogy Vader was a force to be reckoned with, but subsequent stories have watered him down.

I would personally disagree on the watering-down aspect, but agree to disagree there.
I saw the trailer for the Acolyte, and I am excited for that one

Definitely have to disagree here. His 2015 comic run and Rogue One made Vader seem incredibly powerful. I can see how his 2017 run made him seem a little watered down, but that's also when he's just getting started as Darth Vader. I haven't read his 2020 run yet, so I don't know what that one does for his image.

I don't know how to feel about it yet. The concept is very cool, but the editing on the trailer felt weird and I don't know if that's just a poorly-made trailer or indicative of the effort being put into the show. Star Wars series in the past few years have been a mixed bag for me, so I'm not sure what to expect.

Season three of The Bad Batch has really been a cut above the rest of the show. By far the best season.

Bad Batch Season 3 was fantastic and a good end to an excellent show.
Acolyte seems pretty good so far too. I like the characters and the settings, the story line is intriguing. It doesn't look the same as the Old Republic did in the KOTOR games, but it's close enough.
Edit: rewatched Acolyte and actually read the opening text, it takes place 100 years before the prequels not during the Old Republic. XD

Acolyte has been good so far. Episode 5 was especially good, Loved the lightsaber fights in it, though sad to see those who have already died

I felt like indulging my masochism today, so I watched The Last Jedi again. The "fight" between Luke and Kylo made me think of something, which I haven't seen discussed much, at least not here.
Do any fans consider it possible that Obi Wan was actually a force ghost or a projection during the entirety of New Hope?
I ask this not yet having seen, or knowing the events of "Kenobi" on Disney+.

There's absolutely nothing in the film or, so far as I know, any other media to imply or support this so... sure, I imagine some fans do think so.Rodimus Prime wrote:Do any fans consider it possible that Obi Wan was actually a force ghost or a projection during the entirety of New Hope?

I don't think it is remotely possible, especially given Kenobi and Rebels

I always liked him for his talent and affable personality, and he was probably the most famous performer who embraced his place in the fandom. Mark Hamill is like that as well, but the others have a certain level of resentment it seems.
Personally, as iconic as Darth Vader's voice is, when James Earl Jones is mentioned, I always think of Mufasa 1st.

For me it'll always be field of dreams when I think of Earl.
As much as I like his voice as vader's, his voice has been duplicated before, almost perfectly by the Chocolate Rain guy.

Happy Star Wars Day!
I'm halfway through watching Return of the Jedi after having watched The Empire Strikes Back.
I have to say, Empire doesn't seem to have the luster it once did. Maybe it's my age, or the many many viewings over the years. I used to consider it the best of the entire movieverse, but after watching it today, I was left a bit disappointed. So going forward, I think either Rogue One or Revenge of the Sith will take the top spot.

Forgot all about Star Wars day. Empire is still my number one, though really I kinda roll the original trilogy into one in a way. Rogue One was amazing, I really need to get off my ass and check out Andor.

I've gotten to the point where I watch them in pairs. I have no love for Phantom Menace so I rotate episodes 2 and 3, Rogue One and New Hope, and Empire and RoTJ every 3 years. I pretend the Disney trilogy doesn't exist, even if I did enjoy Force Awakens for the most part. And I'm probably in the small minority of those who like Solo a lot so I can watch that any time.
