Michael Bay's Revenge of the Fallen is still receiving accolades from the press, even two years after being released. Time Magazine just created a list of the Top 20 Worst Summer Blockbusters ever. Leading the list in first place is Revenge of The Fallen, beating out even The Phantom Menace. Dark Of The Moon also made the list in a respectable spot at #16. See the list for yourself here.

They just don't get it. ROTF is not THAT bad. If you cut out all the trashy humor you have a pretty great film if you ask me. DOTM is absolutely amazing in my opinion but I am speaking from a Transformers fan perspective. But I have definitely seen FAR worse summer blockbusters and far worse films altogether than the Transformers films. It just seems to be popular right now for the "mainstream" media/reviewers to bash these films.

Conviction doesn't really come across well on message boards as I wasn't being sarcastic. If anything, I was celebrating the vitriol aimed at DOTM and ROTF from Time Magazine, the snobbiest, most elitist cowboy-journalist-rag excuse for a populist magazine in Western history.

I'm starting to wonder how bland the world would be if the critics received every movie they've ever desired. I'm betting it would be all arthouse bullcrap that makes you snooze because they studied the the study of the human condition and man's inhumanity to man, starring Mickey Rourke, Lance Henriksen, etc. You get the idea.

Or, they could live in the real world and enjoy movies like the rest of us.

What happened to going to see a movie to just see a movie? It's entertainment, period! Who says that everyone in the world has to like a certain movie? Just cause they didn't like it doesn't mean that everyone else will feel the same. The tickets sold and what not speak the truth, not them. If a movie really sucked, then the ticket sells for that said movie would be very low. These ppl have no idea what they're talking about and the funny thing is, alot of ppl will take their word for it rather then give something a chance.

Oh my gosh, thanks TIME Magazine. I'm enlightened now. I'll go melt down the DVD right now. >:oP

Yeah, it's still one of my favorite movies period. Ebert didn't stop me, nor did select members of the fandom fan dumb, so TIME won't make me budge.
I honestly think there are plenty more magazines or books that are better reads than TIME. I've disagreed with a myriad of things in it over the years.

Thank you!! That's how I feel. Some of those movies on the list I agree with (like Catwoman and Batman and Robin), but that's only my point of view since I'm a big fan of the comic(s). Doesn't mean someone else shouldn't like them. And to be honest (coming from my point of view) I believe Spiderman 3 was way worse than ROTF. Plus I liked Hudson Hawk, and Howard the duck was so bad, it was enjoyable (the Lea Thompson scene..........come guys that was actually hot).

The point is- like what you wanna like. Watch what you wanna watch. :KREMZEEK:

I do think the reason ROTF tops the list is because it's still so fresh in everyone's memories.

Top 10 worst awards show hosts
Top 10 car chase scenes
etc, etc, etc....

The dumbfudges who made that list can all go fudge themselves. Pearl Harbor? Godzilla? Saying ROTF is confusing? ROTF is easy as hell to understand. Dumbasses.
