Turning off signatures

In the viewing options section of my profile editor I have the "Do you want to view signatures from other users?" option set to No, but I'm still seeing signatures from other users in all the threads.

Does anyone know why they're still showing up?

yes, i too tried to do this only to find it didn't work.
