Why the hell didn't I buy Classics Starscream???

I have all of the Classics save for the Prime/Megatron two pack and minicons. I got two Starscreams, one of which became Thundercracker to join Starscream and Skywarp. I also got 4 Ramjets, One to keep as Ramjet, one I turned into Dirge and two for other kitbash projects. I had wanted a third Starscream but couldn't find any more so I had gotten an extra Ramjet instead, though if I could find someone who lives near me and has an extra Starscream I would love to trade out the extra Ramjet for it. I want to swap aprts between a Starscream and a Ramjet to make both Thrust as well as the last of my Decepticon Furies, Malice. In order to do that though, I need a Ramjet and a Starscream, not two Ramjets.

I'd like to eventually get another Starscream or Skywarp in order to have someone do a Thundercracker repaint for me.

Amazing the Classics line was a virtual shelf warmer for this area. Both Wal-mart and TRU had plenty of just about everything. Jetfire and Grimlock were the only two that had very short shelf lives.
Course that was before the movie came out. Now, even the Alts have sold out.

Still lots where I live - Glasgow, Scotland, and the surrounding areas.
In just one shop in Glasgow today I seen:
Bumblebee
Mirage
Rodimus
Jetfire
Starscream
Cliffjumper
My local supermarket down the road from me has:
Optimus
Megatron
Optimus vs Megatron
Skywarp vs Ultra Magnus
If anyone really need any of them I will gladly
get them, and ship them up at no profit to myself.

Here's the list of USPS shipping costs to Great Britain—http://pe.usps.gov/text/imm/fh_014.htm These are in US dollars.

i bought them the first wave that came out, but i regret not buying the modified version of SS, or the modified Bumblebee that came out after the first wave. they look different next to their repaints...

Nice... the ones I want (Grimlock, Astrotrain and Ramjets) are the ones they don't have...

Classics Starscream was the first classics figure I ever bought, not to mention my first Transformer since I was a little kid. He was always my favorite character, so I bought him for my collection of random toys. I liked the Classics detail, articulation, and accessories so much I got back into Transformers and now into the movie figures.

I mentioned in a previous post how this line dragged me back into the world of Transformers.
I first noticed it when I was at Target with my wife one day early this year. I had in my hand a Starscream and put it back. At the time, I was saving money for our imminently arriving baby. So, starting a new collection of "toys" wasn't really in the equation.
Being a child of the 80's, I was instantly shot back in time when I looked at these figures, though. Eventually, we were back at Target a few months ago and I was staring wistfully at the Magnus/Skywarp two pack. The one in my hand was the only one on the shelf and it was marked as a clearance item. My wife convinced me I should go ahead and get it. About a month after that is when I decided I had to have all of the Classics.
Unfortunately for me, I never again came across a Starscream in my area. In fact, by the time I finally made a serious effort to collect this line, most of the Classics had dried up in local stores. I eventually got my Starscream off eBay this week for a little more than $20 (after several failed attempts to get one from some folks on this board and another).
I thought Starscream was going to be the last figure I needed to get (not counting the Constructicons which never appeared in my local Walmarts and aren't all that classic since they're missing one). Unfortunately, Boscovs's Department Store (where I ordered both Prime and Megatron online) never shipped my Megatron. Eventually, they changed the order status to "special order" and, after a month, cancelled the order telling me the item was no longer available. Dang it!
So, I still need Megatron to make me happy.
I do have two extra Ramjets that I picked up since somebody had posted online that they wanted to trade a Starscream for a Ramjet (never was able to get that deal completed).
Anyway, if anybody wants to sell me a Megatron, I'm all for it. I've tried twice (once here, once on another board) to get a Megatron, again with no luck). Currently prowling eBay for a reasonable deal....
Besides the two Ramjets, I also have a movie Deluxe Arcee available. How about a trade of Ramjet/Arcee for Classics Megatron?
If nobody stateside shows interest in one of the Ramjets (I'm toying with the idea of hanging on the one of them as a repaint), I'm willing to entertain the idea of sending it overseas provided the recipient has Paypal and pays the shipping cost. PM me if interested.

how so? I'm sure the Classics Starscream I have is a fix of some sort if such a thing does exist, I'm just curious the differences.

Don't feel too bad. I'm still kicking myself for not getting the Classics Ultra Magnus Vs. Skywarp exclusive at Target when I had the chance. They're the only two Classics I don't have in my collection now.

they are insanely priced right now because everyone wants them now after the movie stuff. The movie brought back many into TFs and Classics really do go back to the G1 era more than the movie does.
Universe figures next year are also going to be really good sellers among collectors.
