Airachnid's Techno-Organic Thread?
This is the thread where I will be talking about Airachnid's possible techno-organic nature, due to her spidery appearance. Most of you do know that ever since Airachnid made her debut until now, she generates spider webs from the palms of her hands as weapons to trap her enemies, epecially humans, before killing them. While it has been officially confirmed that Airachnid is now officially a stealth helicopter, the fact of the matter is that only spiders can produce spider webs, and not helicopters, since that machines, in truth, are not alive. Helicopters only can fire bullets from their machine guns. But because Airachnid is the only machine who can produce spider webs, does this possibly explain her techno-organic origin? Should this is true, will we ever see more techno-organics in the Prime series in the near future, just like the ones in Animated?

How are we defining techno-organic? Since it's entirely plausible she could be synthesizing web like fibres in her body without actually having any organic components. She would only need to take the raw materials into her body somehow to keep producing them.

where do transformers guns get all their bullets from anyhow? I mean, there are some who fire missiles that are a part of their bodies. and yet they always seem to have enough ammo. the web, like these firing body parts, could be entirely natural, technological products of Cybertronian physiology. Until we cut one open and find out, how can we know for sure?

I'm with Tekka here. Just because she's capable of producing an adhesive material similar to web, does not mean she's a techno-organic entity. As primitive and squishy as we humans are, we've been able to create a synthetic webbing material, so it's not much of a stretch to think sentient machines are able to duplicate it.

ah, but as you've all forgotten from the original thread, she also growled.

Just because she looks like an animal doesn't make her a techno-organic. Remember how the G1 Dinobots, the G1 Insecticons, the G1 Predacons, the G1 Terrorcons, the Energon Terrorcons, and many others all turned into animals but were still fully mechanical and non-organic? Why can't you see Airachnid being like this too?psj333 wrote:This is the thread where I will be talking about Airachnid's possible techno-organic nature, due to her spidery appearance.
Airachnid is both alive and a machine. She is a living machine. All Transformers are living machines.psj333 wrote:Most of you do know that ever since Airachnid made her debut until now, she generates spider webs from the palms of her hands as weapons to trap her enemies, epecially humans, before killing them. Aren't helicopters capable of more than just firing bullets?psj333 wrote:Helicopters only can fire bullets from their machine guns.

Tarantulas and Blackarachnia could produce webs as well, yet they weren't Techno-organics (though Blackarachnia later became one, she wasn't always).psj333 wrote:But because Airachnid is the only machine who can produce spider webs, does this possibly explain her techno-organic origin?

Does Airachnid actually spin webs? Most of her shots are just clumps.

...and? Lots of transformers growl. Making animal-like noises doesn't equal Techno-Organic. It just means they're getting into character.

Well, most Cybertronian weapons are energy based (lasers), they probably have some sort of internal generator to create energy.
Or in Armada Starscream's words: Lasers don't run out of ammo!
As for the rockets...the hell if i know.

Craggy was joking. The growl was brought up here because psj333 tried to use it as evidence towards Airachnid being a techno-organic (which it isn't).JetOptimus23 wrote:craggy wrote:ah, but as you've all forgotten from the original thread, she also growled.

Is this seriously being posted again?
1) Techno-organic (T-O) is a term from Beast Wars, correct? Since Prime is found in the new Aligned continuity, we can't assume that ANYTHING from previous continuities has anything to do with Prime. Airachnid may, or may not, be a T-O, but who really cares? If the people in charge decide "Hey, let's say she's a T-O" then she'll be one. If they say "Nope, we have no intentions of her being in any way organic, she's pure machine", then that will settle that. If they (as I suspect) keep silent and say nothing....
2) It's all up to you. If you want to think of her as a T-O, then do so. What other people think shouldn't matter to you at all, and who cares if they don't buy your theory. Ultimately, if it's really, really important to you that she's a T-O, then to you, she can be a T-O. However, you don't have to force your views on everyone else, just because you decide that's how it should be. Otherwise, this forum would be choked with useless threads of everyone forcing their own Personal Cannon down everyone else's throat.
Anyways, I'm going to go do something productive now, like watch TV or play videogames. I'm too old to argue over the internet!

thanks sabr, my comments in these numerous, duplicate, unnecessary Airachnid threads have been mostly light-hearted. Light-hearted with a message, though. I think you already knew that, and knowing is half the battle.
