Some people collect stamps.
Some people collect dolls.
Some people collect cars.
Some people collect earth from places they've been to.
Some people collect paintings.
Some people collect undergarment of girls.
Some people collect Transformers.
What the heck.

NO!
You can buy whatever the hell you want. If you want a Transformer and don't want to buy one cause you might be embarrassed, then it's your loss. I'm 31 and see NOTHING wrong with buying transformers or any other toy.

I'm 19, people laugh and say I'm too old for Transformers. I say "No, I'm not too old, you're just too much of a loser to get this sort of thing."

What are you thoughts on this fellow transformer fans?(Responce from female fans would be nice)
I am 36 and I say no.. Buy em for fun!!!
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Transformers- Fun for kids of ALL ages! Reading this thread makes me feel great. I'm really diggin' the love. I see it this way. Who's more childish? You, for buying something nostalgic that exercises the senses and entertaines the mind? OR Those who claim to be adult , who believe that ADULTS don't play with toys, yet make fun of you which is, surprisingly, just like a child would? I'm 23 and plan on buyin' plenty more! You should too!

Bloke. 20, nearly 21. Bought 3 tf's today. You are never too old. It's simply a collection, like keyrings from holidays (something else I do) or collecting stamps (something else I dont do). Just get the thing. You wont regret it. Unless you are literally out of money. And even then, that wont stop some people.
Be warned though. It's like a curse. You get one, then you think that is such a nice display piece, but it's all lonely. So you get one more to keep it company. Then something that really gets your eye is released. So you get that one. Each time promising yourself you are only getting one more. Before you know it, they have taken over your room. Then your house.
The invasion has begun. It's a fun hobby.

It's no big deal at all. I'm 22 and I'm still buying and playing with tfs. Heck My older brother a medicinal organic chemist still buys and play with tfs and he's 30. Even my 50 year old Dad likes tfs.

I'm 26, been playing with TF's since I was 3, and I'm not stopping anytime soon. I say toys are made to make fun, crack those packs, and start making vroooom and voosh noise.
Heck when I get my TF's out and start playing with them around my fiance, she say's that so cute- that tiwnkle appears in here eye, she makes her way over to me grabs a toy and we start making cars into robots. My point-people who care about you will see your passion and joy and want to join in.

What? There's an age limit for fun? Pfft, there's only such a thing if you're a mean cantankerous old coot who lives in a hole. A really deep squishy hole.
I'm a gal, and although I've only got two 7cm-high transformers (squee!) I say go for it. People collect scats for fun - why not transformable robots? (It's also more sanitary.) If your girlfriend complains just show her the movie and I'm sure she'll go out and buy a Bumblebee figurine herself. Girls <3 Bumblebee

Back in the 80's, 15 is the age limit for fun. On robot toys, that is. Some would even consider it laughable to play with robots at that age.
Now life starts in the 30's. So why not 50's? In 20 years time, all the 30's will be 50's by then.
I wonder if they'd give up by that time.

I do not, nor will I ever, give a s*%t if my friends moc me. I play with toys, and collect them. Besides, they collect other toys. So...yeah.
Hear I thought I was the only under 20.
I'm 16 and I bought leader class Brawl today.
I would have done the same if I were 80.

OmegaMaximus wrote:I'm going to have to agree with Glyoh, I'm only 23 but I've heard all the remarks from "Aren't you too old for toys" to "Oh my G-d Transformers, I want your collection!" I collect them for me because it is something I enjoy and care about, if people do not understand that, then they don't really understand you.
Think of it this way, I bet your new girlfriend and your friend are going to buy things just for the fun of it - whether it be clothing, purses, electronic devices, or art ... the fact is, they are going to buy them because they like and want them.
Hell, I'm not going to lie to you, I recently picked up the Optimus Prime voice changing helmet (I thought it would be fun to have around the house - which it totally is) but I waited for weeks because I thought the people I live with would think it was stupid. The moment I stopped caring, bought it, drove home, and walked in the door with this thing on ... my friends died laughing - not at me, but at how fun it was. Now they all are trying to find one in stores.
So do what you like and have fun, because life is too short to care about other peoples interpretations of you.
preach on, brother. Jeez, hobbies get mocked all the time. collect stamps? 50 year old glue sniffing virgin. play with model trains? nice, grandpa...needlepoint? um...insert what the heck ever insult you can muster. there is no cool hobby except for Richard Branson and the money he throws at it.
and that voice changer helmet is as bad-a$$ as it gets. took a girl to see the Movie and she tried to get cute by asking me not to wear a TF costume. I borrowed a friend's helmet and embarrassed her with it by wearing it in line, ordered our snacks with it, and before the movie, made lewd autobot come-ons with it.
she later admitted it was cute in a kooky way.
i am 33 and i still buy TF's for MY pleasure. Like i just bought Blackout. played with him twice and had my fun and now he is a desk ornament.
ain't like i am into a sick hobby like collecting salt shakers or spoons from all 50 states...lol.

Nah, never too old to buy Transformers!Me and my boyfriend were going to buy Cybertron Leader Optimus and 20th Anniversary Optimus the other day, and then we realised we didn't have enough money! I'll get them soon....
But no, never too old. There's nothing wrong with collecting stuff if it helps you to remember the fun things in life!
Edit: I'm 19, the boyfriends 29, and we think our Optimus standee looks amazing in our front room!

My ex fiancee bought me a collection of 33 G2 TF's and an oversized Bruticus 2 years ago. We frequently went on Transformer hunts and made days out of them.
My friends at work insisted they go with me to see the movie and I know plenty girls who think the Bots are cool.
31 and they'll be prying G1 Megatron out of my dead hand.

Be young at heart and buy the toys you want! Especially if you didn't get them as a kid
I'm female and older than 27 (3+4 and you get the picture)and I have 9 total. And they fight Godzilla on occasion when I'm very bored.
