United Kingdom Transformers sightings
I'm still having issues with Blackout. His automorph works great when transforming him into robot, but changing him back means that for some reason I can't get the front of his cockpit lined up correctly. I've also got a waist issue and his legs won't hold together in vehicle mode. Given that this is the only movie toy I have, it's not looking good.

The movie line is so unimpressive it hurts.
I own the G1 boxsets too, but to see the original toon on tv again would be magical.

errrm heard on these forums last week that june the 2nd toys r us would be full o Transformers, that the doctor who display would be replaced with a brand new Transformers the movie one.
Visited the Teesside Toys R Us on my lunch break from work and saw no such thing just david tennant pointing his sonic screwdriver at me as if to mock me. Is this the case everywhere or just in TF deprived teesside?

I went to TrU on saterday, and got myself Movie Blackout, and Real Gear Spyshot 6 and Longview.
The real gears are uter sex, as is blackout's alt mode (though I cannot stand that f**king automorph ****, it just makes transforming the bugger more difficult). His robot mode is *JUST* as ugly as it was when we saw the pics on seibs, so I dunno why people are suddenly complaining now when they loved it before.
Also, he has minicon ports.
I tried it.
They fit.
I still say Blackout out is Super Armada Cyclonus though.
EDIT: something to bare in mind, the posability is fantastic on all 3 tfs I bought, Blackout really dosnt need that 'third leg' he has. And IMO, tha plastic quality is no worse than previous lines, and I think the details are actully rather nice.
Shame Blackout (and all the other cons) has such a fugly robot mode in the movie.

Hmm. According to the Argos website, they have Movie Deluxes in stock. I'm only bringing this up because many have said only Ratchet and Blackout are on our shores (and to keep this off the second page
). Is this pure hogwash or can anyone confirm this?

The 'deluxes' in Argos are the protoforms - I think we've had our lot for the time being... this being the first wave of figures released, with more coming out in the next few weeks as the movie gets closer. I REALLY want deluxe Jazz and Barricade now

What with most of the founders of the ODB movement having been banned from this site or choosing to leave it's hardly supprising, in all honesty.
Anyway as most of you know we old-timer ODBs are on another site now that Red dooesn't like me mentioning....
I'm trying at the moment to organise a meetup in July for the opening of the movie, so anyone wanting in on it pop over to TTT.

I went to TRU in Reading on sunday and they appeared to be removing the figures from the Dr. Who display. I'm hoping that means the TF display will be popping up soon.

Ah Brits, we are a lively bunch indeed
Americans just can't manage to agree with us Brits, what with our obvious superiority
Nothing new on my front yet. Hopefully when I go to TRU on Saturday the transformers are in control of two aisles like again, like they were at this time last year.

hey guys, just checked out my local TRU and like a few of you have said the Dr.Who stuff is comming down (Woo!) and Transformers stuff is going up (WOOHOO!) although i'm not buying any movie figs until I've seen the move. (well maybe Optimus prime but thats about it.)
the real gears are alot smaller than i imagined, any particular ones you'd recommend? at the moment they look 'meh' to me
anyway I saw the Optimus Prime helmets out on display and they were the "Try Me" varient, not the "real Movie" varient so just puttin out the word that the 'ko' version is here so be careful if you want the Cullen one.
oh yea TRU's having a buy 1 get 1 half price sale on TF's, time 2 get me a "normal" Primus for £25 bwahaha (how you ask? simple, my mates are getting a 20th dvd prime for a friends b'day so i'm gonna take advantage of the half price offer
)
That little piece of crap called 'the unicron head' is keeping me from opening my Primus. something tugs at the back of my mind saying "leave it... its limited..." but i wanna transform the planet so this is the perfect opportunity.
Life is good...

Hi!
I was in my local Tru today (Aberdeen) and they were just starting to put up the new Tf display. The Dr Who section near the door has been halved with the new half going to the Tf's. There still seems to be a mixture of Cybertron, Classics and Movie toys being displayed together. It's kind of strange to see three different lines of Tf's on sale at the same time. They also still have Tf's in their normal aisle.
They had loads of boxes of Deluxes, Voyagers, Fab's, Real Gear's, Cyber Slammers, Stompins and that tiny Movie Heroes two packs. Strangely they were also opening boxes of Classics as well. Bumblebee Unleashed looked pretty smart in my opinion!
Although there didn't seem to be as much being put on display as some pictures here of American Tru's it's certainly looking as if there's going to be plenty Tf's around for a while!
Ron.

I can't keep track of the threads now the markers are **** and nobody seems willing to fix it anytime soon so I don't post here much anymore. Also I can say **** at TTT without being bleeped in case I offend your sensitive eyes with my course language.

The one, the only, the dreaded THE TAVERN TABLE!!!
It's basically the ODB, but as a whole forum rather than a single thread. Personally, I don't see why us Brits can't have our own form here. It'd certainly help with keeping track of this ruddy thread, and it would probably attract more British/ European traffic.

If you get no other ones, get longview (the binoculars). That little guy is fantastic. But if you want transformers that actully look like transformers, and that dont have fugly robot modes, Im afraid the Real Gear is you best and only hope. Also they have really good articulation for what are basically scouts.
Do we know when we're gonna start getting other (with less fugly robot mode) charecters like prime and bumbles?
