It would have to be cheaper that what I paid for Jetfire for my liking
If the Ark or the Netflix megatron/purple fossilizer drops a bit more I'll probably pick them up. Doesn't seem to be a lot of restocking going on at the mo for most things in smyths, hopefully that's just preparing for the new.

One thing I have noticed is how poor the Smyths stocking system is. It says that Omega is out of stock at all branches yet popping into Greenford to get 1/3 of Scrapface camera and there is 1 Omega is there, similar for other stuff they have as only 1 in stock and 3 are on the shelves, yet when you purchase something it immediately updates on the website saying out of stock or a lower stock amount so really do not trust it when it says out of stock.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
So the reason for this is because we offer click and collect, and there is not separate stock for C&C. This means that the website stock numbers is actual stock -1 or, in the case of high demand items, anywhere upto -4. This is why the website will say out of stock for items that stores still have between 1 & 4 of on shelves. For the most part, it is there so that customers looking for the last of an item in shops aren't looking around for an item that might already be in someone else's trolley.

Another bizarre example at Smyths, Hotlink was on the shelf yet when I took him to the till it said not for sale. I didn't argue but had assert myself with the member of staff that being in a retail environment with stock on the shelves why were items being put out on display and then not being allowed to be purchased at the till.
They scanned a sparkless seeker drone at £29.99 so I am happy with that as all worked out well in the end but curious if this was a single item or more of him they are getting back.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Likely a return or staff had found one hidden away somewhere (which gives a good insight into how well that store does its yearly stock take–not very well). A lot of older items get moved to be listed as 'blocked for sale' by the system. Largely because the stock is no longer available from the manufacturer and stores cumulatively only have about 10 which may or may not actually be down to stock errors. So they're written off and assumed to not be there anymore but, obviously, sometimes this stock does still exist floating around shopfloor sometimes. It's why they would've put it through as a different item so as to just shift it which is what creates more errors in the system as it will think that store has sold more Sparkless Seekers than it actually has (which is why when things get changed to "blocked for sale" they get written off because the stock number is probably wrong anyway) it's honestly a really stupid system and I've said to management multiple times that it surely wouldn't be difficult to just keep the barcode active. But that'll be why they would've said it isn't for sale. Smyths definitely aren't getting anymore of Hotlink considering his status in the system

Thanks for the insight. I've done a lot of marketing and merch work in various stores and some places like the supermarkets have really good systems so show real time stock (not accounting for in people's baskets) and if it is discontinued or just not ranged in that store.
My issue was more the person on the till doing a "computer says no" and not being willing to sell me something as though this is a win for all parties concerned having stock on a shelf and never selling it to the paying public.

Picked up Sky Lynx for £40 at game. Just a matter of being stubborn and waiting out for lower prices, might even pick up Rodimus if it drops below that

I think Blaster is going to be in high demand. Good to know that the others are hitting shelves.

Re: United Kingdom Transformers sightings
Good reductions on the Smyths website as lots of the stuff seems to be in a fire sale to get rid of it. May pick up a Magnus and Arcee at these prices.
Weirdly Jetfire is down to £50 but nowhere seems to have him so unsure if there is hidden stock somewhere so I can grab one.

Studio series Ratchet, 86 Perceptor and Kingdom Blaster are niw all in stock at Smyths. Slammer and Pipes now have active webpages so click and collect is now available for both of those figures.
Will warn, my store only got 3 of Blaster so expect short supply until the repackage in Legacy

Smyths also has coronation starscream... Which might be worth the price if it included the Cone heads on front of the box :p
Just checked blaster out, his right hand extended finger looks a bit comical. Perceptor looks good but his face is kinda T shape painted instead of fully painted and seems to be a bit of blemishes on his chest paint do it's worth browsing for a decent one in store rather than ordering online if you are picky.

Smyths has updated their website to now include the wave 1 Legacy stuff. As usual from Smyths, nothing is available for preorder and will be unlikely to go up for preorder.

Yeah, the titan price hike is probably the biggest disappointment. I'm lucky as I intend to skip Metroplex but I imagine those who want him are going to be pretty disappointed
