G1 (not including Beast Wars) is the worst Transformers tv series I've seen. I only watched 5 episodes, before thinking "this sucks, Prime and Animated are waaaaaaaaaay better".

Armada is also pretty bad, but I managed to get through more of those episodes than G1.

Another one like that, G1 Soundwave can be improved upon, he's already been outdone with Cybertron Soundwave, Animated Soundwave, Music Label Soundwave, WFC Soundwave, FOC Soundwave and of course MP Soundwave. He also does not display well with Classics.

Oh and Gundam is damn cool, with a some of the best robot designs ever.

You are the Transfans equivalent to the wanker who prefers the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy to the classic originals. For shame, sir. For shame.

Now you see, the problem here is that Dead Metal has such a flair for both sarcasm AND cynicism, (mastering both to the point where he will forever have my utmost respect and admiration) that it's hard to tell just how much of his comments were him being a smart ass and taking "unpopular opinion" to it's fullest and how much he was being serious on.

Myself, I haven't chimed in until now for the simple fact that whether my comments are serious or if I were to simply have fun with the subject matter, I'm usually such an a**-hole that ALL of my opinions are unpopular, even when I'm joking.
To be perfectly honest, when I saw the title of this thread I had thought for a brief moment that I was being singled out and all my stuff was going to be dumped here.

I like the FOC Seeker mold more than the classics Seeker mold, though both are great.

MP Megatron (MP05) is my favorite of all in the MP line. Yes, I know he has problems, but he's still badass in both forms.

I don't like the Prime toy line because they are too small. And now I've noticed they releasing them in larger sizes now. Hasbro should have done this from the beginning.

I didn't like how Megatron "realized" his beliefs were wrong at the end of Predacons Rising

Oh a G1 toys are 2nd best. Generations is first and Beast Wars is third.

Breakdown is the #1 character from Transformers: Prime.

I may be the only one who thinks that, actually. Oh well.

I think the G1 cartoon was the plague of Transformers (do not confuse - I only hate the cartoon, not the movie), and is worse than Energon.

Speaking of Energon, I don't think it was that bad. Shockblast was badass.

Armada is my fourth favorite Transformers cartoon, coming close to third (replacing Animated, which I don't like as much as most).

I don't hate Michael Bay.

Beast Machines was awesome.

Miley Cyrus has talen-wait...forget that one.

Prime Wheeljack was the best Wheeljack ever.

Megan Fox isn't that hot, I see better looking girls pretty much any time I go outside.

After Armada, there is no point of keeping Starscream as a main traitor of the show. Shockwave seems to fit this role much better.

Movie from 2007 was good, sequels are terrible.

You mean protagonist, but I would probably agree with you. It brings me to another probably unpopular opinion: Optimus looks absolutely terrible! This goes even more for TF Prime as well. Except for the fact that he is tall, there is nothing to his look which makes him look tough at all. In fact, he looks absolutely fragile. I'm pretty sure I could break off pieces of him with my hand.

The look for just about all the Bayformers is just terrible, actually.

Like all Japanese series, Energon has many interesting ideas, great character concept arts and could offer a new direction in history of franchice, but sadly Japanese creators were lazy and ruined series, that could be epic.

Most of Prime's flaws aren't any worse then most of the flaws in other TF series that didn't do them any better.

Wow, those are unpopular opinions? I 100% agree with every word you wrote (except MTME, but only because I don't read the comics, although based on what I've heard about it, including some quotes citing the humor, I agree at least on that basis).

Bumblebee being mute is cool and works really well for his characterization as the "wounded scout" who puts his life on the line for his friends while being a fast badass.

I LOVE the WfC and FoC designs, so much so that I spent over $300 on a third party WfC Omega Supreme, not to try and shoehorn it into some "G1" or "Classics" shelf, but just for my WfC/FoC shelf .

I get what Animated was, and while I don't think it was a bad show, I didn't really enjoy most of the characters, although that's colored a lot by the overall "kiddie" tone of the show I'm sure.

I actually thought Miko was kinda cool. She's into metal, likes big bots and cannot lie, has a sense of humor, is a bit mischievous, has sort of a punk rock look, it works .

I think Prime and Beast Wars did incredibly well with real, 3 dimensional female characters rather than the typical token fembots thrown into other series (ref Arcee from G1 who was generally "concerned" , "flirty" or "in distress" and seldom ever anything beyond that).

I can actually watch the TF movies, and while there are certainly things that bother me about them, I cannot say the same for Batman and Robin. I CANNOT watch Batman and Robin, it's that terrible (and this from a guy who actually enjoys the old cheesy Toho Godzilla films ).

edit: And to add one of my own:

Classics/Generations is not G1 so any representations of G1 characters on a "Classics/Generations" shelf are out of place. MP=G1 .

And yeah, Rumble is totally PURPLE !

Beast Wars is not only the best series so far, but also had the best toys (only if MP's are counted as collectors' items and not toys )

In my own confession... I really like the BotCon 2013 Machine Wars Thundercracker and Skywarp figures. I think they're my favorite figures of the set. Yes, the set that includes Obsidian, Srika, and Starscream.

I don't like Unicron being some kind of multi-dimensional god of chaos and destruction. Deities in Transformers just doesn't work for me.

Kibble isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's tasty too.

The whole mystical children of Primus and robot god crap really bugs me, as does "the 13" and all the other mystical hoodoo (even the Matrix of Leadership was pushing it in G1 with that whole "it was filled with "wisdom" and now we have to refill it" crap).

• The CGI in Beast Wars still holds up after all these years
• Blackarachnia>Arcee

• Shockwave is one of the most loyal Decepticons and would never betray Megatron.

• Who the hell is Drift?
• Kup is an old, wise, worn out war hero, not a brooding badass cigar smoker
• Dinobot>Ultra Magnus
• The Vok are not=the Swarm (whatever the hell the Swarm is)
• The Quintessons created the Autobots and Decepticons on the planet that the Quintessons built known as Cybertron
• Shell formers are not always bad and Beast Wars Neo (infamous for having many shellformers) has some of the best TF molds ever
• Bayverse Starscream looks like an upside down slice of pizza in robot mode and=fail
• Takara MP-10>Hasbro MP-10
• Cheetor>Bumblebee
• Nightscream sucks
• Dreamwave>IDW
• 3H toys/fiction>Funpub toys/fiction
• Megatron=Galvatron (thanks to Unicron)
• Unicron was better when he had no known origin (although Season 3 of G1 screwed that up pretty badly)

You never heard about Marvel comics, don't you? I say even more: For me Shockwave is much better "Starscream" than Starscream itself. It is a shame that we don't get Shockwave's betrayal in Prime (except for the fact that he couldn't care less about Megatron's demise in "Deadlock".)

To be honest, I really like idea of Transformers beign a spritual race. There could be a Transformers series where there is an actual Cult of Primus. Because for now, Primus is more a super weapon, not a God of Transformers.

Why everyone say that Arcee in Prime is multidimensional? She is as flat as action girl only could be! She is the most static character of the show. Just because girl is bad ass it dosen't make her more original or interesting.
