The fold-up flaps on the weapons on my MP Buzzsaw and Laserbeak have such stiff joints that one of Buzzsaw's is starting to break. Is it worth trying to rescue it with a bit of glue, or is it display-only now? Is there a good way to loosen the joint on Laserbeak so it doesn't happen there too?
It's a shame because I really like the way these guys transform...

When you say "display-only", you mean as opposed to playing with it like a toy? If so, then absolutely, Masterpieces are designed for display, not play.

By display only I mean never try to transform them again. I'm not saying I expect them to be as durable as Rescue Bots, but I do expect to be able to transform them more than one or twice. I haven't had this kind of problem with my others (Thundercracker and both Optimus Primes).

I've got Laserbeak in bot mode and Buzzsaw in cassette mode, and I'm probably going to leave them that way. I'm reluctant to mess around with them.

I'm constantly transforming mine back and forth. A time taking task, but I still do it. They're built for that, at least. I admit they use some thinner plastics, but to say they're not for play at all? Nah. They're built well enough to do so. MP-11 is proof of that. It's easier to transform and uses better plastic, with the thought of play in mind.
Soundwave is definitely play worthy. I can't imagine breaking him unless the person just hamfists it.
