[attachment=0]14993564801141126751212.jpg[/attachmentI wanted to get Barricade today because I've never had a Transformer or Gobot that turns into a pig car, and the only one I saw that looked like he was was within my budget, and the only one I saw was a repainted Prowl. To avoid the confusion, the only difference between police vehicles and pig vehicles is that the heroic Autobots or Guardians are the ones that turn into police vehicles; and I almost wonder if this is Hasbro's science fiction satire for cops that abuse their jobs by beating or shooting people who are minorities for little or no reason. Anyway, I picked up Bumblebee; and I haven't opened it yet; and I'd like to know if he's a repaint of any previous Bumblebee that's a Legends class; and it's a TLK Bumblebee. If it is, it's probably the same one as another Legends class Bumblebee; and I'm going to take it back to Walmart unopened if it is and get something that's a little more pricey because if this is the one I had before, it broke; and I don't want to get stung by playing with a Bumblebee. Pun fully intended. I had that happen when I less than five years old when I found a lot of them near a house I used to live in, and that was by a bumblebee that came out long before Hasbro put a Bumblebee that turns into a car. If it is a repaint, are there any Legends class TLK Transformers that aren't repaints, remolds, or retools or whatever since that's the way it was with Grimlock that I play with or Optimus Prime that broke? I know my vents about repaints aren't the most appropriate thing for a God believing person to say about the product of a company that's trying to earn money by making toys, but I didn't want to change my signature for one post.
I owe Hasbro an apology. It's a Bumblebee repaint; but I was able to reattach the leg, so he wasn't broken. I still gotta take it back and get something else unless someone wants to trade me a Legends class Barricade that's not a Prowl repaint.
Take a look at this Optimus Prime because that's what your blue TLK repaint will look like after you play with it awhile.

Well how about that! So he did! MERGED!
The fact that you remember him creating such a thread makes me worried about you.

Re: Too many repaints
I'm all for redecos, retools, repaints, and pretools. This means it's cheaper to do more figures/characters.

Then I just buy one if 2 or more look the same except for the colour. I think it's just lazy if Hasbro picks a transformer, changes the colour and name and tries to pass it off as a new TF.
Am I the only one who thinks like this?
Does anyone have a spare POTP Hun-Gurrr card?

Not really, though Hasbro has gotten better and worse at the same time when it comes to reusing assets:
- For RiD 2015, the <insert theme> Strike redecos are just well, obvious. Not even the effort of making new characters out of them (not that anyone can't repurpose them anyhow). In fact, I think the only new-character redecos, no retooling, are Scatterspike and Blastwave. Unfortunately, both did have new parts in the show, with Blastwave based more on Megatronus.
- For Generations, new-character head swaps has been a steady standard, with the Prime trilogy stepping up the game with reusing minor parts, especially for combiners. TR Overboard, CW Smokescreen and CW Blast Off are the only straight redecos outside of the box sets, though I suspect it was out of necessity.
That said, redecos can be quite creative, Cloud Hot Rodimus and Shockwave come to mind.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

I have Blurr, Titan Force Brainstorm, Walgreen's Brainstorm, and Arcee and will probably get Legends Brainstorm and Nautica.
Without repaints, I probably wouldn't have the opportunity to get all of those figures in one line.
But there's also the case where Orion Pax is so good, I really don't want to get Kup.
