Actually, it happened September 19, 2009.
Anyhow....

It's a 1986 Chevrolet (Gasp!) Monte Carlo SS. Paid half of $2250, working on the rest. :lol:

Has the 305 V8, auto transimission, etc.
Needs some work but it runs, drives, and sounds good so that's a win for me!

I'll put a pic up later, I forgot about upload size limits. :lol:

I had a friend in High School that had a Monte SS. Does yours have T-Tops?

I remember my first car, '91 Firebird Formula V8. Good times

Congratulations! A first car that isn't an eyesore and giant humiliation is a wonderful thing!

My first car was a 1978 Oldsmobile 98, cherry red with a white pinstripe and white vinyl roof. Hand me down from my sister, who was, despite the description, NOT a pimp. It was like driving a damn aircraft carrier. And in those olden days, I actually had to parallel park that monster! Oh, you could see me coming for miles around. (And get the hell out of my way, at least).

Oddly enough this was my husbands first car as well though some years ago. He would be very very jealous of that car...as his died to soon in a engine fire caused by crap mechanical work perpetrated by horrible evil mechanics from good for nothing car dealership. At least thats how he tells the story, when he tearfully shows me the pictures of his first love his Monte.

Have loads of fun with your new car! Just don't let my hubby see it I don't feel like sitting through his Monte's eulogy speech again.
