I didn't start collecting CHUG stuff actively until Titans Return came out (TR Hot Rod was my gateway figure), so I missed the boat on Combiner Wars. The prices of the limb robots on eBay... Urgh. Just.. urgh.
WANT:
* Cyb. Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Leader Sentinel Prime sword, shield
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* Leader Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* Cyb. Wing Saber left chestplate (argh)

I try not to think about those prices, the worse thing is knowing that people must pay those prices for people to charge them.

It makes me grateful for bootlegs. And it's also why 3 of my Menasor's limbs are actually repainted Autobots - I was able to get them for cheaper on forums.

Indeed he does... too bad. :(

And I'm very much interested in that list. I'm still trying to figure out who to pair with an eventual Inferno + Legends Groove and Alpha Bravo :P

Wait, what?

...

Damn it! There really was no point in going for the UW versions. I guess it's better to find this out now before my own Motormaster dies and it's even worse replacing it...

There was still a point with UW Computron (Hasbro's Technobots suck), and UW Superion at least has a better deco than CW Superion.

I'm after the UW stunticons at some point, at least the cab looks right in vehicle mode and the cars have the correct color panels that don't look like eyesores.
I was okay with the hasbro techno bots mainly because it was cheaper and included the repainted cosmos.

1. Who cares about that tho? ;) :P
2. Nah, those are outright different characters.

blackeyedprime wrote:I'm after the UW stunticons at some point, at least the cab looks right in vehicle mode and the cars have the correct color panels that don't look like eyesores.
But that's the only mode the cab looks right in, and UW Drag Strip is bland AF. Hasbro made the right call making Motormaster a gray cab for CW rather than black, because this time around Motormaster is made entirely of the cab. The G1 figure had a black cab, but the cab only formed the feet. The robot and torso modes were formed from the gray trailer.

I'm okay with that as I have the hasbro one for his other modes and a spare dragstrip makes for a repaint to Starscream armada minicon for potp Starscream. Just wish they hadn't carried the mismatched panels over into selects and siege (ricochet, sideswipe). If I had to choose one it would be UW for 4 out of 5 figures having correct vehicles but the GPS is kind of off putting. I got the hasbro version just for availability and price £80 (it was easier to buy 2nd hand complete rather than trying and paying the price on a motormaster which is/was? expensive over here at £40+ back then)

I still favor Hydra and Buster for him </broken record>

Although speaking of Drag Strip... I think a radical reshelling of him would have made for a better Dreadwind than using Skydive.

Well, it's not like that Armada Swindle that blackeyedprime was proposing wouldn't be a custom :P
I'm pretty sure that Hasbro didn't have plans for any more 'Cons to go with PotP Starscream. Hun-Gurrr and Grimlock are the only PotP torso bots released who had a solid team planned at the time. The 'Cons I think we would have gotten if PotP wasn't cut short? Are the Seacons. Not as flashy as the Selects versions, but the Seacons all the same.
Hydra and Buster, I think would only ever be LGEX or Selects.
Rodimus Prime wrote:I think he was referring to the deluxe figures of Blackwing and Dreadwind that we did get.
No, I was talking about favoring Hydra and Buster to complete PotP Starscream's limb set since they would perfectly match Blackwing and Dreadwind.

Nice list, would really like to get predacus and thunder mayhem but what little sanity I have is stopping me from paying for them. I can't remember which scatters shot torso I'm using on random limbs, the hasbro box set or single release. Galvatronus stays separated in the separate bits so roller can hang with the autobot and hasbro cyclonus is missing his combiner noggin with it being used on tr galvatron. Might sell my skylynx and his friends and put that towards earthrise skylynx.

CW-related photos I think need to be taken:
* CW or UW Menasor tussling with Cybertron Menasor
* Computron and Volcanicus ganging up on Abominus.

Here's my list:

Autobots:
* CW Silverbolt (no other Aerialbots)
* Volcanicus
* Orthia (with Jazz subbing for Greenlight until I get her)
* Optimus Prime, but I don't usually use him as a torso.

Decepticons:
* Menasor (Consisting of CW Motormaster, CW Dead End, Drag Strip repainted from Mirage, Wildrider repainted from Smokescreen, Breakdown repainted from Sunstreaker, and Legends Blackjack)
* Abominus
* Starscream (with Dreadwind and Blackwing standing by to be limbs)
WANT:
* Cyb. Galvatron key, missiles
* Omega Lock
* Primus Cyber Key, coattail panel
* Powerlinx Comettor
* Leader Sentinel Prime sword, shield
* RiD Galvy dragon head, beast arms
* Leader Ironhide windshield, R hood assy.
* Cyb. Wing Saber left chestplate (argh)
