I know Apollyon didn't, and it would be great if they used the same batteries. I'm sure they don't though, why would any company make anything easy ever

Sadly, Shockwave didn't come with batteries.
Makes sense. You wouldn't want batteries sitting in storage for too long before being sold, and Masterpieces are known for sitting in storage.
Would it work better if they were still included, just not installed? Like in a little bag in the corner of the box or something?
For local products, it's not a huge deal. But for a high end collector's figure that is meant to ship all over the globe, that's still not a good idea probably.
When I was in Costa Rica, they were very careful to avoid having batteries included in electronic products, or at least to use special long-lasting batteries. Reason being partially the humidity, but mostly the heat. For some odd reason, batteries died way quicker down there, and were more prone to leaking juice. Sometimes they'd be almost dead even right after getting them out of the original battery packs (which was a rarity, but if the storing conditions were right, that would happen sometimes).
Like I said, since these are
expensive figures, and these are meant to be shipped overseas, it's better to not have any batteries in the packaging. Since most of the other MPs don't have electronics, they would be better in hotter temperatures than ones with batteries included. If Shockwave included batteries, they would most likely have to ship him in a more careful manner, which means the price would probably go up, and they would be harder to get. In other words, just buy your own batteries.
