beast wars confession

In one episode, the maximals take off with the ark with of G1 transformers still in it back to Cybertron with megs having on to dear life. Not the same megatron from g1 only someone who took his name for his own glory, not the same as being after him like a relative or a kid. Aren't beast wars characters suppose to be the descended from the old decepticons and autobots? Wouldn't have ruined their history if they returned the ark with the old G1? It wouldn't been their time period but the old G1 characters since they were suppose to be from the future unless they knew how to time travel but still why bring the old G1 transformers into the future with them?

It's OK, the Beast Wars cast only flew off in a small shuttle, not the actual Ark. That stayed under Mount St Hilary all ready for 1984, along with its occupants. Also, G1 Megs' spark was returned to his body before they left, in a short scene which was animated but cut from the final episode.

Yes, the Beast-era Transformers were originally from a period around 300 years after the Great War (G1). The initial treatment for Beast Wars, which still survived in the first set of toyline tech specs, was that the Beast Warriors were mostly the same characters as their G1 namesakes, but in new bodies. The story was later changed so that they were entirely new characters, with one or two notable exceptions (most obviously, Ravage).

The ship that the maximals take back to Cybertron didn't have any Transformers in it, or if it did, they would've removed them. Basically as Rhinox said, History is still being written.
