For some reason when I got my thundercracker figure, the canopy to the cockpit, which can open and close, refuses to stay closed and instead just pops open a little bit when you close it. After closer inspection, I've found that the nub on the front of the canopy was wittled away to almost nothing. Is there a way to fix this issue so that the canopy will actually close all the way?

I don't know about actually fixing it, but if you don't care about ever opening it you could always glue it down. That's what I had to do with my original G1 Thundercracker at one point, but that was because it had snapped off, not because it wouldn't close.
