The G3 trailer looks a bit more natural than the BTS trailer. I chose it over BTS because it fit better with Classics.

I'm one of those hoping for a Devastator release. If they go the route of XF-02, they could replace two of the Classics figures with their own and add the accessories and hands and such.

I've often thought that an option would be for them to come up with a design to the point of going into production, then have the retailers open preorders for say a week or two. Take those figures as a base number for how many sets to produce. So if there's demand for more, you make more. However, I suspect that idea is not as financially viable as I'd like to think it is.

And unless they have other uses for the figures, I can't imagine it'd be worthwhile to produce the set as a limited run, like they did with Shadow Scyther.

Funny that Venksta should mention Blitzwing. I'd figured him for a follow up to Springer. Wasn't a second release in that range mentioned in the 2011 schedule?

As for an Energon Devastator upgrade, I've heard rumors of one group planning to work on it. But its not FP. If that happens, the chances of FP doing their own Energon Devastator upgrade will be 0%. When they released the G3 trailer, the sales were not very good, due to the BTS.Toy trailer. The sales of that affected FP's sales, even to this day. So they no longer will do similar projects as other groups.

So the Glacierbots were designed by Parallax? I hope FP does do the Devy even if another comes out. The G3 trailer was far superior to the competition. I only say that bc i own both of them. If it end up not being Devy, I will be surprised. Either way, bring it on. I'm ready.

Hardly. The big weaknesses in the set are precisely what FP works on, new hands/feet, new head, etc. Give us a dump truck and a mixer for the two 'replacement' guys and we would be all set. But it is obvious we're not going to exactly get G1 Devy out of him, but that's okay... just an improved one will do.

I agree, I think they could greatly improve the combiner. I agree that we wouldn't be getting the G1 Devy but a nice homage. The add-on kibble could give us new hands and feet. I think the challenge with this set would be the middle/scout figure. The way the head is assembled makes it highly unlikely they could change that. So it would be awesome if they upped their game again gave us one or two new limbs and a new scout figure. Mmmmmm that would be epic.
