>25th Anniversary Unicron is a TrU Exclusive in Canada
>Not available at my local TrU
>Available online for 80$+10$ shipping
>OH YES OH YES! Order like a baws
>"This item cannot be delivered to your location"
>Realise because they did not bother putting the french on the box, they cannot sell it to Québec because of our very restrictive language policies
>YES I MAD!
Lemme add that all North American TF packaging ARE PRINTED AND PACKAGED AT LONGUEUIL, CANADA, PROVINCE OF **** QUÉBEC!
ALL OF MY HATE!
I don't know anyone who could get it for me and I don't wanna be screwed over.
And if you were talking about my IP address, they care not about it. It's the delivery destination that is blocked. Oh they would be happy to bill the stupid Québécois that I am, but they will only deliver it outside of Québec.
Oh, and in case you didn't know, it was the same bullshit with ALL the TF TrU Exclusives. I had to pay 90$ for my MP Rodimus. Scan series? forget them.
I go to TrU often and I see plenty of TrU exclusives.
But nothing from Hasbro.
WHY
THE
HELL?
Jezz, I'll say it again, it's printed and packaged HERE, IN QUÉBEC FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
If Hasbro/TrU do it for the lulz, well, they are successful.
At Least, Walmart's exclusives are always ALWAYS comming trough, even if they are a little late. They had MP Skywarp and I recently got the marvelous blue and yellow Sideswipe. And the Deluxe OP, of course.

So, any toys you might miss just because of some bureaucratic bullshit like this? I'm mmissing out on a great collector item at a reasonable price because of this.
Are YOU missing out on some toy in the same fashion? Like it's illegal to sell it in your country because it won't follow the security standards of your country? Or the packaging MUST be a certain way?

I feel your pain my friend. Being from SEA, a lot of vendors online won't accept my credit card. Heck, if it wasn't for Paypal, I'd have missed a lot of TFs in my neck of the woods. But these bureaucratic bullsh*t policies are such a bane to us collectors! Though I'd count myself lucky I was able to get Megatron MP and the re-issue TFC without any orange caps.
But not being able to deliver to your region.........that plain sucks!

Re: Dat unfair law that keep you from the toy you want
Takara Masterpiece Megatron was extremly hard to buy without the orange safety cap attached. almost everyone was opening up the boxes & applying a safety orange cap.
Thankfully this web site called "Captured Prey" was selling the masterpiece megatron on-line. without the safety orange cap attached. So I ordered one from them.
Getting a opened box & paying full price wasn't something I was willing to do. regardless if they opened the box to apply the safety orange cap.

The law is there to protect you. The government makes these laws so you don't get hurt or taken advantage of. I don't even want to think of what would happen to you or your neighbors if this toy without proper labeling were allowed in your area. There would be a possibility for confusion, hysteria, loss of limbs, riots, flooding, alien invasion, generally Hell on Earth! I am sure you don't really want that. In the end you must realize this law is your friend, not your enemy.

Yeah, without French on the box, who knows what chaos would ensue? The Law must protect us from the dreaded English language!

Captured Prey is a really good site, I have bought from them a few times and they are great. They are not as big as BBTS or EE, but they do a good job.
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

Living in South-East Asia alone means the prices of TFs gets bummped nearly double at retail
. We get everything, but the price alone puts me off from buying most items till they go on sale, and thats when everything left are pretty crappy. DOTM is currently on sale (regular US prices now), but all that's left are Mudflaps, Nitro BBs, and lazerbeaks.

The joke is I see imported crap on sale all the time. The boxes are usually in moonspeak and engrish, but the box have that sticker added somewhere where they put all the essencial in french. No harm done and the government is happy.
Why they could'nt or wouldn't do that on 25th Unicron, I have no idea. Yeah, it would have made the MIB collectors rage, but at least, it would have been available here.
Anyway...
I gave in and bought one via Ebay. 100$US shipping included.
By the way, in Canada, the regular price is 80$ plus taxes. If my local TrU had it, that would be:
80*5%GST=4
80+4=84
84*8.5%TVQ=7.14
84+7.14=91.14
So the grand total would be 91.14$. So it's only 10$ less than I paid.
You may have noticed that our very glorious and fair government is charging the Québec tax (TVQ) over the Canadian tax (GST). We Qébécois are taxing the tax! (In before Xibit meme). The souvrainist party pulled that bullshit on us and the federalist party in power will never ever fix that dastardly fact.
Oh and it would have cost 10$ for the shipping from TrU online if they had the right to ship from Ontario. In the very end, I paid the same total price anyway!
Luckily, 25th Unicron is not rare anymore and I did not had to pay some retarded amount like 150$+50$ship. I know some of you lucky bastards will get it at 30$ on clearance in just a few weeks but hey...
At least my 2010 Creator Primus will have the correct Unicron to accompany him. I will have to display my Armada Unicron in Planet mode somewhere.

In my neck of the woods, you pretty much pay through your teeth thanks to import taxes. That said, we still get first dibs on most all TF's, even before the US! Problem is, we have to pay almost 18 USD for a 12 USD toy. Ordering online doesn't necessarily make it cheaper, thanks to shipping.

This particular law is completely ridiculous. Obviously they need to have important signage (road signs, etc) in French and English, but a toy box? Who gives a crap? I could even maybe understand not stocking it in store. But refusing to deliver it there at all is complete BS. The whole Quebec-sovereignty issue probably affects their population more negatively than positively, if you ask me, because of dumb rules like this.

An like I said, they could just add a sticker with the french essencial on the box. But nooooo, TrU hate money so much, they won't do it.

On another note, apparently there's a law against kidnapping Takara engineers and keeping them in your basement to design all the toys you want. Who knew?

A sticker would be too easy and probably cost prohibitive. Why, a sticker made at wholesale may cost a whole penny(or less), we've got to think of what that would do to the bottom line, Hasbro needs to make a profit not just give things away.
I am glad you were able to get one at a reasonable price, it's an impressive toy.

I got My 25th special Unicron yesterday. But I have a problem. The Kranix minicon have two right feet! The Ebay seller can't do anything about that factory mistake, obviously. Is there a way to have Hasbro fix this without suffering some prohibitive costs?
