Databases?

Hi, I'mn playing about with the idea to make a database on all the stuff I've got, comics, Tfs, DVDs and such- Jes I'm that bored.

So I ask you, what is the best database software out there, with a good customizable interface?

thanks!

Microsoft Access comes with the MS Office suite, so there's a decent chance you may already have it on a CD somewhere. It's fairly easy to learn, and you don't have to know a lot of SQL to make it work.

I just have the free MS Office stuff that came with my PC and access does not seem to be a part of it.
Anyway I have learned how to use it at school, it was real easy but I wasn't really satisfied with the custom interface thing it had.
So I'm looking around before I go and ask my teacher if he could "lend" me access.

You could use MySQL for free and get the graphical design tool for it if you don't have Microsoft Access.

I love AppleWorks! I have hundreds of databases that work like sortable lists, and some that actually look like database records :) For PC, I've been using Access for the registrations of a convention I volunteer for. It is a powerful program, and isn't too complicated unless you have sub-databases merged with the main one.
