Dose anybody here own a Domain Name, and do any of you use 'Domain Privacy' coverage? I'm really unsure about if I really need it or not...
The reason I ask is, I've pretty much given up using an entirely free website provider for the site I'm building, and have found one that is nice and cheap (less than £2 per month), and which provides a free Domain Name, and it offers Domain Privacy coverage for just under £8 a year. I wanna know if it's worth it.
Ive read wiki on the subject, and it was utterly confusing and answered nothing frankly

I've owned domains in the past. And I've never had any privacy issues. The real question though is do you have anything against having your information as domain owner be available for use by anyone who uses the WHOIs domain directory?
Usually its applied for advertising and other such activities. If you really need to hide your information from the prying eyes of the online community then yes you may want Domain Privacy.

Hi i own one domain for my business which i registered under private registration .Domain privacy is nothing but hiding personal information like domain owner ,address ,contact information from public when they do whois search for our domain to know details about our site .This many avoid unwanted call .I got private registration service from XnYnZ.com at affordable cost .After registering my domain i used Whoisxy.com to check that whether my personal information was hid from public or not .If you want to hide your information from whois then you can also use domain privacy for your website .
