Hey guys, I'm new to the forums and I mostly joined because I had JUST completed my Bruticus Maximus Colossus upgrade and am loving it.
I do have an issue with it though... and I was wondering if anyone could let me know if this is the same with theirs:
The hinges of the shoulder extension blocks, the part that connects them to the side of V1 as missile launchers, are EXTREMELY loose on mine in that there is absolutely no friction to allow the hinge to support any of the weight of the missile box. Because of this, whenever the missile blocks are attached to V1, they always flop down and never stay in the position as depicted in the instructions booklet. I was wondering if anyone else's extension blocks have this same issue or if they are nice and tight.
Thank you guys in advance. I'm not great at keeping up with forums but I do hope to enjoy this community as much as I can. Also, if this is an issue.. what can I do to try and fix the hinges so they work properly or who can I contact to get this resolved?

Re: Fansproject C2 issues?
Thanks for the link Burn, I just read through it.
As for any loose hinge problems, I only found one person just randomly stating the issue, but no one else brough it up... but im definitely worried about the peg holes cracking now.. lol
Does anyone who own the Colossus set have the loose hinge issue as well?

I own the Crossfire sets and luckily do not have either problem. The Explorer set has a few "looser" joints but not to the extent that you have stated. From what I have read/seen, both problems seem to be hit or miss.

Re: Fansproject C2 issues?
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I've fixed the issue. Well, not really fix, but I emailed Big Bad Toy Store with my question about the two shoulder extension blocks and they sent me replacement parts right away. They didn't answer my question about how to fix it, but hey, I'll take new parts over trying to fix the bad ones.
As it turns out I just happened to be unlucky in getting really loose hinges on my first set. The new ones are nice and tight (and not overly tight either) and will hold themselves in the designed position quite nicely. Thank you guys for your responses as they did help me in solving my problem.

I hope Toy Arena helps out as good as BBTS.... I received my set a few days ago, and it too ends up suffering from loose shoulder mount flap things.... Everything else in the set is great though, but there is no ratcheting aside from the foot pivots.
I will email Toy Arena and see what they can do...

Just sent the email to Toy Arena. I'll post their response as soon as I get one.
All in all, Explorer is AWESOME!!!! My favorite of the two. The articulation is amazing, my only gripe, if any,... would be that theres no wrist articulation.

Re: Fansproject C2 issues?
I personally like Swindle more just cuz hes a humvee, but my issue with him is that its EXTREMELY hard to unplug his chest piece when his head is flipped up; I've actually had to use a tiny flathead just to get between the groove and pop it open.. unfortunately scratching it at the same time
But I also have another update:
With the new shoulder extension blocks for Bruticus in my possession, I decided to take a look at juat what they did different to make them tighter. All it is is a different type of peg in the hinge joint. Its basically a metal, hollow cylinder with a cut along one side to allow flexibility (as opposed to the straight pin that was originally used). I hope this helps anyone trying to figure out how to fix the hinges on their own.
