I don't particularly like the gay relationships, what of it?

If you dislike it when Transformers fiction heavily focuses on relationship drama, hey, that's fair, but if you genuinely considered "homosexual content" to be "disturbing" specifically for the gay part, then that's something I'd want to chat about, you know? It's something that's worth questioning.Prowl4 wrote:I don't particularly like the gay relationships, what of it?

I like how some people are saying the homosexual relationships in transformers are "over the top", or that they're sappy. Look at chromedome and rewind, might as well be a porno with how much they say "i love you", and hugged each other a few times. Super gay right? Just makes me long for the good ol' days of chaste conservative Heterosexual transformers, like Blacharacnia and silverbolt. They weren't over the top, and it wasn't implied they were **** constantly.

I don't think there's a need for it to be in transformers to be honest.

Bw silverbolt was a characterisation of an old gentleman/knight. Blackarachnia never played herself as a damsel in distress merely silverbolt was so gentlemanly he saw it that way. The embracing and words between chromedome and rewind are over the top and soppy. There's no two ways about it.

Any thinking on why it's not needed? I mean, there's no more or less need for straight relationships in Transformers.
Transformers reflect humans, are very humanized etc., and that's what gives them most of their charm. Their mental/emotional characteristics are based on humans, and some humans are gay.
(actually, if +90% of Transformers are male, male-male relationships seem more likely than other pairings, but that's beside the point.)

So an over the top heterosexual character being over the top, showing their affection through Soliloquy, waxing poetic, being ridiculously chivalrous, and let's not forget down to get the friction on; is a okay. But a grounded, homosexual, character displaying their love in a normal way like just saying "i love you," or the occasional hug; WOAH WOAH that crosses the line!

IDW Publishing TILL ALL ARE ONE #1 - TransMissions Podcast Exclusive
Hi! I'm a co-host on the TransMissions podcast and wanted to share that we have commissioned a variant cover of the upcoming "Till All Are One" #1 comic. The art is by "More Than Meets The Eye" artist Alex Milne, and the colors are by "Transformers" colorist Josh Perez. The cover is an homage to the classic Marvel Transformers #18 cover by Herb Trimpe. You can see an image of our Till All Are One cover as well as the original Marvel comic here:
We will be selling the comic online and it will also be available at both TFCon Canada and TFCon USA. We're trying to get some copies over at TFNation as well, but we have to have 25 preorders from the UK or Europe first. For more information please check out our blog post here: http://www.transmissionspodcast.com/201 ... ons-cover/
We think this might be a first for podcasts in general, but we're sure this is a first for Transformers podcasts and comics and hope we can do this again next year. If you have any questions, please ask me.

That's a cool homage. "Bridge to Nowhere" is 1 of my favorite issues of the Marvel run. If I cared at all about Windblade, I might get it. Still, great job with the art.

Thanks, Alex and Josh knocked it out of the park with the art. We hope to be able to do it again next year with another set of IDW artists. I'd love to have homages to more classic Marvel covers.

Sneak Peek - IDW Transformers: Till All Are One #1 iTunes Preview #TAAO
- Motto: "Till All Are Pun!"
We've been in a bit of a drought in terms of new comics from IDW Publishing, but it looks as though that is about to change - the first issue of Transformers: Till All Are One has shown up over on iTunes! Check out below the first three pages of the new series from Mairghread Scott, along with art by Sara Pitre Durocher, and give it a couple of weeks for it to hit release date.
PEACE IN OUR TIME! STARSCREAM and WINDBLADE have given everything to bring together CYBERTRON’s Lost Colonies into a Council Of Worlds. But when the increasingly brutal tactics of STARSCREAM’s secret police increase tension among the former DECEPTICONS… how long can the Council maintain this fragile peace?

I'm liking this. I'm liking the transmissions cover too. They still need to bring back the war but I'm sensing Furmanesque plots forming here.
Pros: Art, Initial Situation, Transmissions cover.
Cons: hmmm... we'll see.
Will this be a limited series or ongoing?
These guys are like the mafia. Every time I think I'm out they drag me back in. Friggin IDW.

Actually at the moment they are unaligned as factions are outlawed under starscream's rule.
This looks interesting and I think starscream is actually going to be proved right here but then again it would be obvious.

I'm loving that Ironhide is going to be a main character and that they now have so many different characters involved, like Prime, micromaster combiners, beast wars, etc. Love it.

I'm looking for parts, Help Me Out Please!

That wasn't his United body. That was just his G1 blast off body. United BO wasn't revealed till 4-5 months ago. That issue came out 9 months ago and the artist had no idea or anyone for that matter knew takara was making a new mold.

They're great. Ironhide is just so tired of all this young bot **** and is in full existential crisis, and Chromia is still pretending nothing murderous happened in the recent past. Made for each other.
