Did Tomy/Takara not foresee a problem. I can't imagine they made as many as they did for a Japanese market.
As great as Megs is. I was holding in gun mode and the bugger has cracks and lines all over it. Of course at night or day at a distance I guess you wouldn't see it. But Cops don't always shoot at first sight. You do a slim warning.
When did it get so bad. I was working at Disney world in 99-2001 and they sold rifles and guns to kids all the time. I do believe they did stop around 2000-2001 but I still see cap guns at the dollar stores/deals type places. They look more real that my gigantice plastic megatron.
At $100+ does any but government(s) really think we are going out to try him out. Shoot I have the reissue and he really does shoot pellets. Watch out world I spent a Hundred bucks now I'm on pretend spree to get the money back. And die as a result. PuH Leez.

A weapon's a weapon. No one can deny that. A sword is as dangerous as a gun in alot of respects even if it is not a projectile. Maming someone can be more painful and traumatic than a shot to the arm ect. Point is, both can kill, both have pretty accurate toys made of them made in weird sizes and not correct colours, this is making up for cop's stupidity.Handbanana wrote:Fang Wolf wrote:I would like to mention how easy it is to buy swords, as in Katanas, here in AUS, I have seen people walk in and get one, no ID, no criminal check, nothing. These are much more dangerous than a plastic toy. This is pathetic and degrading.
Effective sword range= 3m; Effective shooting range= >10m
If someone sneaks up on you with Katana, we'll call it Natural Selection.
It could be arrangedBonger wrote:Fang Wolf wrote:I would like to mention how easy it is to buy swords, as in Katanas, here in AUS, I have seen people walk in and get one, no ID, no criminal check, nothing. These are much more dangerous than a plastic toy. This is pathetic and degrading.
True, however I would pay to watch someopne hold up a bank with a Katana.

A fair point, a gun is more dangerous to the effect that it has a far greater range, but I still would not want to take a hit from a sword either.
I can walk into at least 2 stores in Blacktown Shopping centre, and another couple in Main Street and pick myself up a nice sharp Katana... Its still Illegal, but I could do it with no problem.
Awesomesauce; Use it, you know you want to.

so a collectible toy gets seized by customs and customers get screwed out of 90 bucks meanwhile criminals that are so inclined to get real guns have a much easier time.
solution: put megatron in the hands of these people that import and sell real guns illegally.

Phew...glad I pre-ordered both of mine unmodded from TFSource during the first wave. I also got on their waiting list for the second wave and was just now notified I'll be getting another unmodded MP-05 from them. I'm keeping all the unmodded sealed. I got a modded one from BBTS to open before they sold out. Just hope I can remove the blazed orange plug without damaging the figure...
