WOW! speechless about these two, the only good Frenzy and Rumble they are is the G1 and the PE versions, these are......terrible!! I want to like them i really do, but i just cant!

Two great points, Windsweeper. Seeing a comparison shot would be fantastic... as would having their iconic backpack accessories. They should post some new pics to compare with G1, and let us know if they're backwards compatible with the weapons. Guessing they will be.

just to debunk the rumor (i have read this a few times scattered around)...

Sonic Ron IS confirmed to be able to hold cassettes...I don't know where that rumor comes from. my Sonic Ron is currently holding the Ravage that came with classic Hound until I find some more tapes that make me go ZOMG TAKE MAH MONEYZ!

They're kinda neat, but Perfect Effect's are nicer proportioned and compatible with almost all bots. If this had been at the same time or before, it'd be a different story. Seriously, we all saw it coming when PE gave us Shadow Warrior, you could have stepped it up BTS In fact it would have been the same story as the Auto-scout.

Yeah, they'll go nicely with Sonicron, but he didn't wow like other standalones in design (or construction for that matter), so I'm not rabidly looking to expand him.

There was something I didn't like about Perfect Effect's cassettebots... it's on the tip of my tongue. What was it again??? :-?

Oh yeah. They don't transform into cassettes.

With rumored pics of Ratbat and Ravage coming from various parties... someone needs to get to work on a snazzy Laserbeak/Buzzsaw.

The thing I dont like about the PE versions (besides the afore-mentioned NO TAPE MODE), is the fact that they don't "go" with anything...they look out of place on just about any bot you would stick them on (not to mention Sonic Ron or Soundwave in particulat) due to thier color schemes and alt modes.

Hideously big lazer swords?
Some kind of wierd jet-pack thingamabobs?

Doesnt seem like a lot of forethought went into these. Honestly, my initial impression when I first saw the alt modes for Laser and Buzzer was "Gee, they are trying to make them look like the Jetfire addon parts Prime used in the live-action movie".

I..was...disappoint.

And i was actually teetering on the fence about ordering the Shadow Warriors just to have a Rumble and Frenzy, but then these guys came out and just blew them away.

I've got Sonicrun and these guys in my POL, but I think I'll hold off until the reissues of Soundblaster and Twincast come out before shipping. It'll be tapariffic!
