As a kid I think the first Transformer I bought myself was G1 Bumblebee and Brawl. Maybe. I was probably only five at the oldest. I did get G1 Prowl when I was two from my brothers friend, he'd also hand over Jetfire 2 years later as well.

As an adult collector it was G1 Megatron. £4 of awesome. Reminded me what I loved about Transformers again.

After browsing tfwiki, I just realized that a toy I have lying around my house is powermaster Hi-Q. So although I have no memory of owning the Optimus that went with it, I must have.

The first one I bought personally, I really cannot remember.
Possibly Alternator Decepticharge.

But the first ever Transformer I owned was G2 Sideswipe (the black repaint of the G1 mold, pretty much). I remember picking him up from a houseware shop, in backwardsland/Italy.

His name was Freccia, apparently, I remembered that much (and that's how I rediscovered what he actually was, just now!).
I wonder where he went, in the end...

The oldest I have from that time is G2 Optimus (who used to have a trailer..).

G1 Bumblebee from a Boy Scount penny sale thing (basically they get donations of unwanted stuff and they have a mini yard sale like thing and sell everything super cheap to raise money for their troop). I didn't even know I'd bought him until I got home and opened the baggy filled with a bunch of other toys. There was another Transformer in there but I've never gotten around to ID-ing him. I think he's G1 too... I'll figure out who he is someday...

Although I grew up during the Beast Era, I didn't buy a TF with my own money until the first Movie came out. Wasn't much of a fan of Transformers until the Movies, actually. Got a handful from the parents as a kid but those were mostly because they were dinosaurs/reptiles/bugs/monsters. All those human-like vehicle-robots in between Beast Wars and Movieverse just didn't appeal to me.

Anyways, the first TF purchase I made with my own money would be TF1 Blackout.

When I really got back into transformers, it was Car Robots JRX.

When I was young, I think the first TF I've ever gotten was Tantrum from my Auntie. As for my 1st TF I bought was most probably Beast Wars Dinobot or Rhinox, cant rememeber which came first.

Sadly all of my older Beast Wars TFs haven since been given away. O well..

The first one I bought with my own money was G1 Swindle. Before that all Transformers I had were gifts. I remember I like him because of his "Scatter Blaster" which you could mount on his shoulder.

I'm not quite sure of the first Transformer I BOUGHT, although I bet it was Energon Signal Flare or something similar or in the Energon series. But the first ones I received were in Christmas in 06 or so, they were Armada Optimus Prime with trailer, repaint. Cyclonus repaint, and Hot shot repaint. I think that's it.

I was the type of geek that would try to change his little car toys into a robot. Never worked, though. Stupid cars.
