Just something I got to thinking about earlier.
have you run into a fellow collector somewhere, other than obvious places like a convention comic or specialty store. how did it go?
and I know tru, target, walmart, ect are obvious but well count them.
I have been collection since the beginning of G1 and ive only ever run into 2 other transformers collectors.
1 was a customer where I work other was in a TRU when I finally found mp10.
for me both pretty much went as follows, oh your into transformers to huh? cool, well nice to meet you take it easy.
did meet a fellow star wars fan once that didn't go nearly as well since he tried to take a figure out of my hands...
yeah my stories are pretty lame, but I figure some of you have far better to share.
running into a fellow collector....

Re: running into a fellow collector....
In 2007 at a Walmart in Williamsport PA. I watched a collector beat the snot out of a guy who bought out all of the first movie's initial waves on their release day. I'm not really sure I'd have wanted to know the guy though, he seemed kinda crazy..... Ya know because of the beating.
Other than that, conventions, and a few friends I don't think I've ever talked to another.

I have run into fellow collectors quite a bit. Only when I was collecting Star Wars was there any awkward moments. I normally chat with them when I see them.
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I've run into a couple of collectors over the years. If it's obvious that they are collectors I will ask them about it. Usually we will chat about what figures we are looking for and if we have seen them anywhere. Then we usually complain because we know they are out and the central Pa stores don't have them yet.

Not necessarily collectors but fans with some figures. I quoted Megatron at work and a coworker noticed it was from TF. We talk about TF every now and then and what figure we want to get next.

When I was collecting Star Wars I ran into a few collectors and it helped boost my own collection in the process because they had some things for trade that I didn't have. As for fellow Transformers collectors? I haven't really ran into any thus far to say either way. It'd be nice to network here for that.

I generally stay away from em. I'm all the "nerd" i need in my life (please don't anybody take offence to that).
Anymore than that would be overkill.
