Due to the demand for transformers in the 80’s hasbro trusted other toy compaines to make transformers for them. In Italy the had GIG coming from takara and in Mexico they had IGA. Unfortunately for hasbro they had numerous problems with Mexican transformers. Not only did some of them use toxic paints but more interestingly they actually made some which had a few differences to the uk/USA release. Like this thundercracker. Making them extremely rare.
