Demo is out, full game should be in europe 16feb and 20 in states.

Anyone played the demo yet?
I have to say, the game looks pretty darn good, since i'm running with all the settings max (new pc and all :P) but the Skirmish A.I is pathetic though and the pase of the game a bit slow (especially in the start). Sound is generally not all that impressive (I for one, expected more of Whooobooom, muzzle sound from a big artilery cannon, instead of a 'phew') neither is the music.

Still the game is pretty impressive in it's own right and if you liked Total annihilation you'll most certainly like Supcom as well.
Just don't bother trying to play unless you have a recent videocard

I've got the demo on a disc up in my room but ain't gotten round to installing it yet. From what I've seen it seems fairly impressive,Not sure if my PC will be able to handle it though :-? Suppose there's only one way to find out!

I was going to start a thread about this. lets just say I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!. I had the original game Total Annihilation and boy did I have hours of fun with that game, I loved how the enviroment was destructable and there were just so many different and cool units. Also the self destruct ability was fun. I have been wathcing the enws on this game for months and I will be getting it on the 20th for sure.

RTS games are my favorite type of game to play, and from what I have seen and heard of the game...Supreme Commander is supose to revolutionize RTS as we know it.

I must honestly admit that I never played TA in the old days. So I downloaded it in anticipation for Supcom and I got to say. It really is a fun game and really good looking for it's time.

Having played with the Supcom demo for a bit, i'm not so sure about the going to revolutionize the whole RTS genre thing. There are some minor meh things. Like the A.I is subpar. The demo didn't gave me the idea this was the way the game was supposed to be played. The music also didn't impressed me etc etc. But I already said that in my opening post :P

Regardless, ill be getting it on 16feb for sure. Just 3 more days...

Eh? I really enjoy the music, and the Voice Acting. McGlynn and Epcar as similar characters to Kusanagi and Batou FTW!

If you're looking for this game, try going to WalMart. I hate that store, but my Walmart had the game mislabelled, at only $12.83, but still scans at 50-ish. So after price match, and their "$10-Off-Lower-Price" policy, I got the game for $2.83+tax.

Better hit the Walmarts, SupCom gang. :P

Well I have been able to play quite a bit of the game and well....I love it! I enjoy the gameplay, and the challenging aspect of it. I also enjoy how each mission is 2+ hours long.

One of the things I really love about this game is being able to tell your buildsers to fallow a path and build different things after each one, you can program them on way points. I just love how I can have my commander build my entire base while I do other stuff and dont have to issue a new order every time he gets done with something.

The zoom feature is really nice and pretty easy to move around the giant maps. I must also say I am a artillery cannon whore, I build like 20 and just let them wreak havoc MUAHAHAHA!!!

I am on mission 5 of the UEF campaign and cant wait to start the others. But for now the ghame gets my high praise.

I like the game, even if I'm a noob on this game yet, because I played all the time some ground RTS like Warhammer 40k Dow. But with some training in the game, it would be easier also for me.

Oh gee really? I thought my strategy of creating a vast army to destroy my enemy was a good strategy.... I didnt know I was supose to use my 10 tanks to take on their base right away cause your impatient.

:lol: of suddenly after the 20th time hes told me I snap and go "Oh yea! **** sorry about that".
