Look forward to seeing the pics, HP.
I've been drooling over doomtrons Megs he has in his av/sig, though. Man, I want that Megs!!! lol
He did try to start a thread showing how to do it, but no one showed any interest.
I did but I couldn't get the bits

Damn, I wish I'd been a member back then lol
Yeah, was a little disappointing. I did get some ideas from Doomtron that helped me with Megaplex

I saw over at Allspark.com, there is a link to a test color classics bumblebee, starsceam, and megatron on ebay. Bumblebee looks pretty sweet, he does have a trailer that transforms as well into some kind of wings or something. Although he has a rear wing that makes him look more like a yellow cliffjumper. Can anyone say repaint! Plus to make him more G1 the rear wing looks like it could easily be sawed off and sanded down.
The only one I'm dissapointed in is Megs. His body is cool but the wings make him look like Batman

Obviously the paint isn't the best especially on Starscream but these are just the prototypes

I wonder how hard it would be to turn that car mode into a classic VW Beetle and really make him into Bumblebee.

I'm most amped for Prime, and Decepticon deluxes. Prime just needs some adjustments to his paint aps. Megatron needs a near complete repaint. With the other Autobots they've managed to go after characters I really don't care about. They might as well have made one of them Wheelie.
Hot Rod I'm only getting to slap around in photo comics. Bumblebee cries out for modification. Starscream and Astrotrain are just about perfect.
They all need insignias, though. Now, if i could decide on whether to use decals, or stickers....

I'd go with stickers, I work with decals a lot because I build model cars and let me tell ya they can be a pain in the butt. They look good, but they are fairly fragile depending on size. Reprolabels makes great stickers of insignia including....... classic style rub insignias!

Rub signs are no substitute for real faction symbols. I'm leaning torwards decals. They're pretty durable, if you put them down with some clear coat.
I want to put insignias on Prime's shoulders. They still wouldn't show in alt mode, because of how he transforms. Tempts me to put a huge Autobot symbol on his roof fairing.

Personnaly I like them without the big insignias and just the rub signs. The whole purpose of the rub signs was to verify theyre alegence. And whats the point of calling yourself a bot in disguise if you have this billboard size logo on your side.
it will be interesting to see all the variant touchups on these.

Clear coat will work to make decals more durable, just be careful though, some decals get wrinkle up or crack with a clear coat

Yes, it will. I've done it before. You out the decal down on wet clear coat, then clear coat over it, after it dries. Or, dip the decal in clearcoat just before you slide it off the backing sheet. You just have to use a hard clear coat, like Future.

Yeah, if you know it will work on whatever decal sheet you are using, then decals are better because they don't peel at the corners like stickers will over time
I am pysched about prime too, hes looks to be one of the better renditions of Prime. Hes probably going to be my second fav next to the MP Prime. The Energon Prime was just terrible, he looked like Elvis. Thank god he went on a weight loss program for Cybertron series

Looks sweet as hell too. I want him.
I hope they make a Shockwave too then
