Man I'm so pissed off right now about this guy. He clearly posted in his auction that shipping to the US is free (I live in the US) despite him being in the UK. Now he's making rude comments and is asking that I pay shipping. I have a perfect feedback score and now I'm worried he's going to ruin it by leaving negative feedback because HE made a mistake.

by what the auction says, you don't need to pay shipping. If he gives you a bad comment, report him and reply back with the reason. If he's not accepting of the conditions, don't pay at all.

I would ask him to simply cancel the auction, no harm no foul. You both in turn agree to leave no feedback as to not mar either person's rating. Better to not complete the auction. If he tries to post a "non-paying bidder" with ebay, ebay will contact you about it. You can then explain it to them. I believe there may be a breach of terms of service they may be interested in. You may also politely let him know that if negative feedback is left on you for his mistake, that it would be reciprocated, and ebay now has the policy to place sellers on probation or even outright block them for "breach of contract" or some such if they receive something like 5% negative feedbacks within a certain period. If this person isn't a big time seller, ONE negative would easily beat 5%.

Well the dude finally replied and appologized for the confusion. He refunded my money immediately too. I lost about 25 cents in the conversion but I'm just happy this seems to be over. I found another Dragstrip last night and was able to get that one instead.
